Within Sanofi`s Global Device and Packaging Unit, the Senior Packaging Engineer is in charge to ensure robust and reliable device manufacturing development strategies and thus implementation.

Main responsibilities:
Drive end-to-end planning and execution of process and manufacturing concept development for DDC & OSD packaging solutions
Serve as global interface and strategic facilitator between multiple Sanofi sites and Packaging Development, ensuring standardization and harmonization of equipment and processes across the network
Implement LEAN and Design for Manufacturing (DfM) principles throughout development and industrialization phases of DDC & OSD products, aligned with strategic business planning
Develop innovative, robust packaging manufacturing technologies that meet commercial requirements and regulatory standards
Define and standardize technical requirements for manufacturing processes and equipment specifications across all platforms
Tasks, jurisdiction and responsibilities
Develop and implement packaging concepts and processes for DDC & OSD manufacturing, establishing robust and scalable production systems
Drive innovative packaging manufacturing technologies, integrating commercial requirements, device specifications, and GMP compliance
Lead standardization of technical requirements (e.g., pFMEA) across all device & packaging platforms, Sanofi sites, and CMOs
Apply LEAN and DfM principles to ensure robust industrialization of development products aligned with business planning
Manage RFQ preparation, quote review, economic efficiency calculations, and support investment decision-making
Lead feasibility studies and implement strategic goals in packaging concepts, aligning new investments with business objectives
Identify and drive optimization projects in close collaboration with production sites, R&D, Quality, and Commercial teams, managing implementation and conceptualization
Provide lifecycle support and lead RCA/CAPA activities across the device & packaging network, resolving complex technical problems and driving continuous improvement
About you
Experience :
Several years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Knowledge of FDA and other regulatory requirements such as cGMP and MDD / ISO 13485
Experience in the implementation of qualification and/or validation projects (CSV)
Experience in the area of inspections by authorities
Soft skills:
Simplifying complexity & proactive risk anticipation
Willingness for transversal cooperation across functional boundaries / departments
Active driving of changes / optimizations in the area of delegation
Result and solution orientation, willingness to assume responsibility
Team orientation / team player with excellent communication skills
Self-reliant and systematic way of working
High willingness to communicate and ability to work in a team
Technical skills:
Very good process and packaging knowledge of the CMO and Sanofi Device Business.
Proven expertise in pharmaceutical manufacturing, GxP documentation and related Equipment Qualification and Process Validation of high throughput equipment.
Education: Bachelor (Master is a plus) in engineering (e.g. packaging, mechanical, automation)
Languages: Fluent in English, French or German basic knowledge is a plus

The salary range for this position is :€83 856,00 - €111 808Final compensation will be determined based on demonstrated experience, skills, location, and other relevant factors. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs.
