  • Night shift 1900 to 0700; including nights and weekend requirements.
  • Week 1: 2 shifts. Week 2: 3 shifts for a total of 5 shifts in a pay period.

Pay Range

$38.20 - $57.30

Where You Will Work:


The 8T Mother Baby Nursing Unit features 36 private patient rooms designed to accommodate couplets—mothers and their newborns. The MBU also features a newborn nursery for newborns requiring continued medical care after maternal discharge and infants whose mothers are transferred to other units within the Women’s Division.


This unit provides comprehensive obstetrical care to females across the lifespan—serving a diverse, multicultural patient population. Inpatient care is delivered 24 hours a day, typical patients include postpartum mothers and their newborns following vaginal or cesarean deliveries, with or without complications. Newborns are generally stable but may require additional interventions such as various blood tests, glucose monitoring, car seat testing for late pre-term and phototherapy for jaundice. Before discharge, all newborns receive hearing screenings and state-mandated newborn screenings. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:3-4 couplets, ensuring attentive and personalized care.


Expectations We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new graduates.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS and PALS are required within 6 months of hire.
  • At least 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.


 

What You’ll Do:

• As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

• Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
