What You’ll Do:
As a Float Pool Registered Nurse, you will provide care across multiple units, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care while engaging patients and families throughout the continuum.
You will monitor patient conditions, respond to changes, adjust care plans as needed, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care across various clinical settings.
You will implement evidence-based practices, actively participate in quality initiatives and shared governance, and contribute to improving care processes and outcomes.
You will promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, responding appropriately, and supporting a safe care environment for patients and team members.
You will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills while appropriately delegating tasks and supporting team-based care delivery.
You will maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record and may administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with established protocols.
You will adapt quickly to different units and patient populations, floating as needed to support patient care needs across the organization.
You will uphold ethical standards, adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, and contribute to an inclusive, respectful, and patient-centered care environment.
You will support your professional development by completing required education, maintaining certifications, and seeking opportunities for growth.

Join our Sheboygan Float Pool team, where you’ll gain diverse clinical experience by supporting multiple units across the hospital. This role offers the opportunity to build a broad skill set, strengthen adaptability, and enhance clinical judgment while caring for a variety of patient populations.

Schedule Details / Additional Information:
Licensure & Certification: Active RN license; BLS required (additional certifications may be required based on unit)
Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred)
Experience: Typically 1+ year of clinical nursing experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform frequent standing, walking, lifting, and patient handling, including assisting with transfers. Must respond quickly to changes in patient conditions. Exposure to clinical environments requiring appropriate protective equipment
