Why this Role Matters
This role plays an important part within the Luxembourg Metrology organization at Goodyear, contributing to the understanding and improvement of rubber products, compounds, polymers, and other materials. Through careful and reliable chemical and forensic analysis, it supports product development, manufacturing, and quality teams in achieving performance and safety standards. The role also encourages collaboration across teams, helping connect laboratory insights with production and development needs. By contributing to shared programs and continuous improvement initiatives, it helps strengthen both product quality and overall performance in a meaningful and sustainable way.
What You’ll Do
Support laboratory activities by preparing samples carefully and following established procedures in a structured and safe environment.
Perform a variety of laboratory analyses using standardized and specialized methods, including thermal analysis, chromatography, and wet chemistry techniques.
Contribute to the reliability of results by ensuring accuracy in testing and consistently applying safety and quality standards.
Review and interpret data thoughtfully, supporting validation of results and clearly documenting any observations or deviations.
Work closely with colleagues to support laboratory operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration, and continuous improvement of daily practices.
What you’ll bring
A BTS in Laboratory Technology or Applied Sciences, with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Laboratory Technology, or a related field considered a plus.
2–3 years of hands-on experience in chemical analysis within a laboratory environment.
Solid understanding of chemistry and laboratory techniques, with experience in instruments such as IR spectroscopy, TGA, and wet chemistry methods; exposure to GC, HPLC, or GPC is an advantage.
Openness to learning and developing skills in sample preparation and analytical methods within established laboratory frameworks.
A careful and detail-oriented approach, with a strong sense of responsibility for quality and safety.
A collaborative mindset, with the ability to communicate effectively in English and work well within a supportive team environment.
