Physical and Occupational Therapy Aide:

A Physical and Occupational Therapy Aide supports licensed physical and occupational therapists in delivering therapeutic services to patients. This role focuses on preparing treatment areas, assisting with patient mobility and exercises under supervision, maintaining equipment, and performing administrative tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations. Therapy aides do not provide direct clinical assessments or treatments independently but play a vital role in enhancing patient care by creating a safe, organized, and supportive environment for rehabilitation and recovery.

Work Schedule ​Details:  Full Time - Day Shift

  • Monday-Friday, 9:15am-5:45pm & 8:30am-5:00pm shifts available

  • Lauritzen Outpatient Center Location

Required Qualifications: Physical and Occupational Therapy Aide:
  • Minimum of one year customer service experience required
  • High school education or equivalent required.
  • Strong team orientation required.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems required.
  • Customer relations skills, both verbal and written required.
  • Ability to form and maintain working relationships within the organization to foster a team environment required.
  • Knowledge of computer, keyboard, printers, various software programs, approved on-line resources, multi-line telephone with and without headset, scanners, copy machine, fax, cyracom telephones, and office equipment required.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with aptitude for detail-oriented work required.
  • Efficient data entry skills required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.

Preferred Qualifications: Physical and Occupational Therapy Aide:
  • Previous rehabilitation experience preferred and previous experience in scheduling and insurance background.
  • Previous experience with exercise equipment typically found in rehab setting, including but not limited to treadmills, exercise bikes, whirlpool, wheelchairs, walkers, etc. preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
