Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

Provide pest control services for all stores and facilities within the organization. Assist in the overall efforts of brand protection, food safety, and customer experience through a proactive approach to facility inspections and treatment of pests. Provide services to outside industry and private homes as requested or contracted.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform a thorough inspection of sanitation, mechanical properties, current levels of pest activity and conditions of food products within all facilities to ensure operational compliance while eliminating pests and/or conductive conditions.

  • Provide knowledge to teammates and management at all facilities about how their responsibilities and decisions contribute to the overall success of everyone and directly affect the experiences of our customers.

  • Apply pesticides and related items based on sound decision making and best practices of the industry to resolve pest problems in a cost effective and timely fashion.

  • Maintain and repair essential equipment to perform the everyday functions of our department.

  • Perform outside pest control to businesses and private homes.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school education​ required

  • Currently hold or have the ability to attain a Commercial Applicators Certification in at least the state they operate in within one year of hiring.

  • Valid Drivers License

  • At least 18 years old

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1 to 3 years in the environmental services/pest control industry preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge

    • Computer literate with Windows and Apple equipment and software.

  • Skills & Abilities

    • Ability to communicate and garner support from teammates at various levels

    • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time

    • Ability to routinely lift items over 25-50 lbs

    • Entry level construction and mechanical abilities, including troubleshooting

    • Ability to operate specialized equipment including power industrial lifts, booms, and associated machinery

    • Ability to correctly assess sanitation levels and document conditions

    • Self motivation and able to work independently

    • Work with wildlife, pests, etc. on a daily basis; in wet, dusty and both cold and hot environments, use of chemicals (pesticides, rodenticides, herbicides) daily, work outside normal business hours and provide overtime/on-call support as needed.
