Corewell Health Enhanced Primary Care Overview
Corewell Health Enhanced Primary Care is a value-based clinic that utilizes a proactive, team-based approach to manage patient populations—particularly those at higher risk. Our care model focuses on coordinating services, closing care gaps, and preventing avoidable emergency department visits and hospitalizations.
We are a family practice serving patients across the full lifespan, from newborns through end-of-life care.
Our Medical Assistants (MAs) and Ambulatory Care Team (ACT) operate within a pod-based structure. This model allows efficient and collaborative coverage of key responsibilities, including:
Chart preparation
Patient rooming
Vital sign collection
Point-of-care (POC) testing
In-basket management
This coordinated approach supports high-quality, patient-centered care while improving workflow efficiency and team accountability.
Weekly Hours of work: Monday 6:45 am to 3 pm; Tuesday 9 am to 5 pm; Wednesday 6:45 am to 12 pm; Thursday 8:45 am to 7 pm; Friday 9 am to 4 pm.
About Outpatient Clinics
Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.
Scope of work
As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent Required
Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program Required
1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
One of the following Required within 120 Days
AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA
