Eliot is seeking a Nurse Manager to join our Community Behavioral Health Center's (CBHC) Mobile Crisis Intervention (MCI) Team. Eliot’s innovative CBHC program serves as a single point of entry for mental health and substance use services for youth, families, and adults. 

In this role, the Nurse Manager will provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to the medical team while fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment. The Nurse Manager will also ensure that medical and psychiatric services are well coordinated and effectively implemented to support high-quality, integrated care for individuals served by the program. 

The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical expertise and leadership skills, demonstrate the ability to support and develop medical staff, and be committed to delivering compassionate, person-centered care

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise staff providing side by side interventions to deliver medical care, monitoring, coordination and support. This shall include outreaching consumers when they have missed appointments and attempts at providing side by side sessions at times convenient for the consumer
  • Provide assistance and leadership throughout Crisis and Urgent Care Services and the Community Crisis Stabilization Unit including nursing coverage, consultation and guidance with medical care and communication with other providers.
  • Manage medical screening of all assigned individuals on the team to include weight, height, BMI and other aspects related to metabolic syndrome to establish a baseline
  • Manage and supervise staff in coordinating medical care, obtaining lab work, receiving medications, medication reconciliation and communication with providers
  • Lead in the hiring of all nursing/medical staff as well as providing direct supervision and regular performance evaluation.
  • Provide oversight, guidance and assistance to individuals with understanding their medical conditions. Meet with individuals and staff to discuss any medical diagnoses and conditions, causes, symptoms, complications, and treatment options.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing and Current Registered Nurse (RN) License in Massachusetts
  • Experience working with adults with severe and persistent mental illness
  • At least one 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, medical and psychiatric treatment practices, and medication policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and coordinate the delivery of medical services to support the overall health and wellness needs of clients.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm

Annual Salary
$95,000—$100,000 USD
