Team & Role Summary
PointClickCare is seeking a Senior Clinical Affairs Nurse – Product & Risk to serve as a key clinical SME embedded within our product and AI teams. This role plays a critical function in ensuring that product development—particularly AI-enabled capabilities—aligns with clinical best practices, patient safety standards, and regulatory expectations.
You will act as a frontline clinical reviewer across product enhancements and workflows, enabling faster and safer delivery of high-impact healthcare solutions.
What You’ll Do
Clinical Risk & Product Review
- Perform first-line clinical risk and workflow assessments for:
- Product enhancements and new features
- AI-enabled documentation and clinical workflows
- Medication management, assessments, and other high-risk modules
- Identify potential clinical safety risks and escalate early where appropriate
Clinical Affairs Intake & Triage
- Support intake triage of Clinical Affairs requests across tools (e.g., Aha, Jira, escalations)
- Prioritize requests based on clinical risk, product impact, and urgency
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Represent Clinical Affairs in recurring product, engineering, and operational meetings
- Partner closely with Product, AI/Engineering, Regulatory, and Clinical teams
Documentation & Governance
- Draft clinical risk summaries, validation notes, and supporting documentation
- Contribute to audit readiness and governance documentation
- Ensure alignment with clinical standards and responsible AI practices
Impact of This Role
This role is critical to scaling PointClickCare’s clinical review capabilities and enabling safe, AI-driven innovation. You will directly contribute to:
- Increased PDLC throughput without compromising clinical safety
- Early identification of risks and red flags in the product lifecycle
- Reduced late-stage rework and escalation cycles
By providing hands-on clinical expertise, you will also enable senior leadership to focus on:
- Strategic clinical direction and executive guidance
- Regulatory positioning and external credibility
- Advancing AI governance and future-state clinical frameworks
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) designation
- Significant clinical experience (Senior-level; long-term/post-acute care strongly preferred)
- Experience reviewing or supporting clinical workflows, documentation, or risk assessments
- Ability to interpret and translate clinical requirements into product or technical contexts
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
Preferred
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent advanced education
- Experience working with digital health products, EHRs, or healthcare SaaS platforms
- Exposure to AI/ML-enabled clinical tools or documentation workflows
- Familiarity with clinical governance, regulatory, or audit processes
