Job Description
Purpose of the role
To source, attract and hire executive level talent across the organisation.
Accountabilities
Identify potential candidates through various channels such as job boards, social media, professional networks, and employee referrals.
Build and maintain an executive talent pipeline to anticipate hiring needs.
Provide hiring recommendations and assist in the negotiation of job offers.
Manage key stakeholders, including people leaders, HR colleagues, and executive search firms.
Monitor and report key recruitment metrics like time-to-fill, cost per hire, and source of hire.
Identify areas for improvement and optimization in the recruitment process.
Conduct full lifecycle recruitment including:
o Client briefing and understanding the role.
o Initial research to build a longlist of candidates.
o Pre-screening longlisted candidates to build a shortlist.
o Manage interviews and feedback loops between search firms, clients, interview panels, and candidates.
o Ensure a best-in-class client and candidate experience.

As a Barclays UK Executive Recruiter, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business, focusing on Business Banking and Retail Banking recruitment for Barclays. You will own the end-to-end recruitment process for senior leadership roles (Director and MD level), delivering best-in-class executive search services through direct sourcing and strategic talent pipelining. This is a hands-on, individual contributor role where you will leverage your expertise in Retail and Business Banking, Technology and Operations recruitment to identify, engage and secure top-tier talent from both internal and external markets. You will provide a white-glove experience to clients and candidates, ensuring seamless communication and confidence throughout the process.
You will support the business by partnering closely with senior stakeholders, HR Business Partners and Reward to deliver critical hires aligned with organisational priorities. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will utilise sourcing tools and market intelligence to build strong talent pipelines, while demonstrating deep knowledge of financial services technology and operations. Success in this role requires exceptional negotiation skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to inspire confidence at executive level. To be successful as a Barclays UK Executive Recruiter, you should have experience with:
Proven experience in executive-level hiring within Business and Retail Banking or Technology, Operations & Digital ideally within Financial Services.
Track record in direct sourcing for both senior contingent and retained search type hires.
In-house recruitment experience.
Deep understanding of organisational structures and leadership roles within banking.
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Experience recruiting for senior executive technology and operations roles in global banking environments will be highly valued.
