About This Role:
As the Talent Acquisition Leader for R&D & West Coast Hub, you will be a pivotal member of Biogen's Talent Acquisition team, reporting directly to the Head of Global Talent Acquisition Business Partners & Executive Search. Your role involves crafting and executing strategic TA initiatives for Research, Development, and West Coast Hub roles. You will manage vital stakeholder relationships with large, intricate work groups, while leading critical projects from conception to completion. Collaborating closely with your team, you'll influence functional workforce plans and develop innovative recruitment strategies to attract top-tier talent to Biogen. Your leadership ensures adherence to budget while expediting the selection process, maintaining a fair and compliant recruitment framework that aligns with local and regional regulations.

What You’ll Do:
• Influence and shape workforce planning with business and HR leaders by providing market intelligence, talent insights, and hiring feasibility assessments.
• Utilize analytics to inform TA strategy and drive operational efficiency.
• Oversee TA staff and service delivery for R&D & WCH, including management of FTEs, contractors, and outsourced solution providers.
• Coach and develop a high-performing Talent Acquisition team, enhancing stakeholder management, recruitment processes, and data-driven strategies.
• Manage a complex network of cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless, compliant, and efficient hiring processes.
• Optimize relationships with external partners, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement localized branding and attraction strategies to elevate Biogen's presence among target talent populations.
• Champion a best-in-class candidate experience across all touchpoints, aligning with Biogen’s values.
• Collaborate with TA Centers Of Excellence to deliver comprehensive TA services to R&D & WCH.
• Drive adoption and optimization of TA technologies and tools to enhance recruiter effectiveness.
• Act as a key leader within Global Talent Acquisition, driving cross-functional projects to strengthen TA’s functional capacity.

Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 12 years of progressive Talent Acquisition experience in a global matrix corporate setting.
• Demonstrated ability to manage, influence, and challenge all levels of clients.
• Minimum of 5 years in people management, ideally with teams across various US or global locations.
• Significant experience in pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology industries preferred.
• Experience in developing recruitment sourcing and branding strategies with proven results.
• Proven experience in executive relationship development and credibility.
• Outstanding communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Data-driven perspective; ability to drive a quantitative culture within talent acquisition.
• Demonstrated track record of excellent decision-making abilities.
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time for recruitment activities.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive recruitment sourcing and branding strategies.
• Proven results in a full-lifecycle recruiting environment.
• Strong executive relationships & credibility with colleagues.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $196,000.00-$269,500.00


Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
