People Consultant/ Generalist
This role requires a balance of people-focused perspective and operational execution. The successful candidate will build strong partnerships across the business, apply sound judgment to complex workforce matters, and drive continuous improvement in People processes and employee experience. Success in this role depends on credibility, adaptability, and the ability to influence effectively across a diverse stakeholder group.
Position Summary
The People Consultant serves as the primary point of contact for People Managers and is part of the People Services team. The role provides proactive support across the Americas Region, with specialist expertise in at least one of the following markets: US, Latin America, Canada or Brazil, and partners with local HR leaders to advance business priorities and deliver on the People Strategy and deliver a superior employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor to managers, providing guidance and support on complex workforce matters and HR policy.
Proactively develop and implement strategies to upskill new People Managers and provide support and counsel to experienced People Managers navigating HR processes and issues.
Exercise discretion, sound judgment, and appropriate decision-making to determine the most effective path to resolution.
In partnership with HRBPs, use diagnostics, data, and business insight to identify proactive HR interventions and people practices that support local business objectives.
Ensure that the workforce and leaders understand People processes.
Coordinate and enable seamless end-to-end delivery of global priorities and lifecycle processes in partnership with People Services teams, while advocating for improvements that enhance the employee experience.
As required, partner with global Centres of Excellence (COEs) and Process Designers to roll out global programmes and processes effectively and ensure smooth implementation.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of employment legislation and market practices across the Americas Region, including the US, Latin America, Canada, and Brazil, to help ensure that processes and policies remain compliant with local requirements and to partner with COE and People Services colleagues on required updates.
Research, resolve, and respond to issues requiring an HR perspective, working closely with People Services colleagues, HRBPs, and COEs.
Work collaboratively with peers and matrix colleagues to share ideas for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key HR processes, across the Americas Region.
May also lead or contribute to country-specific, regional, or global People-related projects across the Americas Region, as required.
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of 6 years of HR experience, preferably in an international, matrixed environment
HR or equivalent degree qualification.
Experience across a combination of HR Business Partner or HR Generalist roles, as well as HR Operations or HR Services, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional business teams.
Exposure to employee relations issues and cases.
Demonstrated success in working effectively with senior leaders to influence decision-making.
Strong business and analytical acumen, along with problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
Demonstrated analytical ability, including root-cause analysis, and the ability to manage multiple competing tasks and priorities successfully.
Proven track record in developing employees and managers.
Ability to flex across different cultures, levels of complexity, business situations, and matrixed partnerships.
Strong continuous improvement mindset and a proven track record of enhancing the employee experience.
Demonstrated use of communication and change management strategies/tactics to influence new ways of thinking and working.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in an Americas language would be an advantage. This includes the ability to deliver clear, articulate presentations and communications.
Ability to build strong networks across a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, HR partners and business leaders.
Experience coordinating and supporting projects.
Proficiency in a language relevant to the Americas Region, such as Spanish, Portuguese, or French Canadian, would be an advantage

Compensation Overview:
The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays
Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
