Job Responsibilities:

  • Fully comprehend MGM and its arts and culture mission and vision, and present its milestones and interpret the artworks or events to convey this vision, while ensure MGM events and exhibitions and various activities supports it
  • Develop and implement overall strategies on arts & cultural program to cope with MGM branding and commercial direction, optimize annual calendar of happenings
  • Coordinate, develop and implement arts and culture program through working with multiple stakeholders and business units to help achieve business objectives, able to initiate creative and innovative concepts and be resourceful on implementing it with the team with commercial business solutions
  • Able to organize resources and information across different channels, and present in a convincing and all rounded manner verbally and on documentation
  • Willing to spend time understanding Arts and culture and the related story behind an exhibition, an art piece or artist, so to lead creative writing and content editing for marketing initiatives, including social media, advertising, and media relations, and ensure all collateral materials, tours, and associated services consistently meet established quality standards.
  • Take lead in motivating the team on creativity, organization, and Build rapport with partners and business units, including both internal and external, to solicit, plan and manage a range of events and projects, from concept, planning, budgeting, sourcing, production, installation, dismantle, financial management, and continual improvement
  • Able to analyze proposals with business insights, and able to organize information in a detailed, holistic, presentable, and accurate manner for the management
  • Budget planning and monitoring, able to interpret data to inform strategy and improve efficiency; Able to delegate but at the same time implement control and coaching - work timely and closely on quality checking, conduct post-event evaluations to determine future improvement

Job Requirements:

  • At least 4 years’ experience in event, marketing, or hospitality and guest service, with proven track record of leading and supervising events in remarkable scale; Experiences in China market or with international exposure, especially in in a museum or cultural institution, is a plus
  • Degree holder, preferably in communications, events, marketing, hospitality or related discipline, with experience in commercial environment with proactive attitude
  • Business Chinese (both Cantonese and Mandarin) and Business English, spoken and written. Other languages will be a plus
  • Must be able to work in various shifts including weekday and holidays should events required
  • Strong sense of responsibility, able to work independently with good critical thinking
  • Great organizational skills and specific, resourceful with problem solving skills
  • Good presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, good team player
  • Strong time management and organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without comprising quality
  • Strong attention to detail, able to work accurately while meeting tight timeline
  • Interest and insights in Arts and culture will be a plus
