People Operations Generalist

This role sits at the heart of the employee experience, ensuring that HR operations run smoothly, accurately, and consistently across a highly dynamic clinical workforce. You will be responsible for executing and improving core people processes that support employees from onboarding through offboarding. The position plays a key role in translating HR strategy into day-to-day operational excellence within a fast-paced, distributed environment. You will act as a trusted partner for employees, managers, and HR stakeholders, helping ensure seamless execution across systems, workflows, and compliance requirements. The role requires strong attention to detail, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to balance structure with adaptability. You will also contribute to continuous improvement efforts that enhance efficiency, employee experience, and data integrity across HR operations.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will own and support end-to-end HR operations processes, ensuring a seamless employee experience while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across systems and workflows.

  • Execute a seamless onboarding experience for clinical employees, including pre-hire setup, orientation coordination, and onboarding system assignments
  • Manage Workday business processes such as job changes, employee data updates, and organizational changes with high accuracy and timeliness
  • Oversee structured and compliant offboarding processes, ensuring proper system updates, documentation, and exit coordination
  • Serve as a first-line HR operations support resource by resolving employee inquiries and managing HR ticketing workflows
  • Maintain and update HR knowledge bases and documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and self-service enablement
  • Support compliance training administration, tracking completion, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support audit-ready HR data practices
  • Contribute to special projects, including process improvements, system enhancements, and HR operations optimization initiatives
  • Requirements:

    Candidates should bring strong HR operations experience, attention to detail, and the ability to manage systems-driven workflows in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.

    • 2+ years of experience in HR generalist or HR operations roles
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field
    • Hands-on experience using HRIS platforms, preferably Workday, including business process execution and data management
    • Strong understanding of HR operations, employee lifecycle processes, and employment compliance fundamentals
    • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws; healthcare or clinical workforce experience is a plus
    • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust across a distributed workforce
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
    • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to improving processes and employee experience
    • Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office tools; exposure to HR automation or AI tools is a plus
