HR Generalist - Talent & Benefits (Contract to Perm)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a HR Generalist – Talent & Benefits (Contract to Perm) based in the United States.

This role sits at the heart of HR operations, combining talent coordination, onboarding support, and benefits administration into a single high-impact position.
You will play a key role in ensuring a seamless employee experience from the moment a candidate enters the hiring process through their successful integration into the organization.
The position blends recruiting support, HR operations, and employee benefits management in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
You will coordinate closely with Talent Acquisition, Operations, Finance, and external vendors to keep hiring workflows and onboarding processes running smoothly.
A strong focus is placed on accuracy, organization, and communication to ensure a consistent and professional employee journey.

Accountabilities:

  • Support Talent Acquisition activities by coordinating interviews, managing candidate communication, and ensuring hiring workflows progress efficiently across multiple active requisitions.
  • Manage background check processes end-to-end, including initiation, tracking, follow-ups, and escalation of issues with external vendors.
  • Act as the operational link between Talent and Operations teams to ensure onboarding logistics such as systems access, equipment, and day-one readiness are fully prepared.
  • Assist in planning and delivering new hire orientation sessions, ensuring employees receive a structured, engaging, and informative onboarding experience.
  • Maintain accurate records within ATS and HRIS platforms, ensuring data integrity and supporting reporting needs across HR functions.
  • Administer employee benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and retirement plans, ensuring accurate enrollments and changes.
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee benefits inquiries and support open enrollment coordination, communications, and system updates.
  • Partner with Finance and Payroll teams to reconcile benefits billing and ensure accurate and timely processing of carrier files.
  • Requirements:

    • Experience in HR operations, recruiting coordination, or HR generalist support roles with strong understanding of hiring and onboarding workflows.
    • Working knowledge of U.S. employee benefits administration, including enrollment processes, vendor coordination, and compliance basics (e.g., COBRA, ACA, ERISA).
    • Familiarity with background check processes and vendors such as Checkr or similar platforms.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across hiring cycles, onboarding tasks, and benefits administration.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with candidates, employees, and external partners.
    • Experience using ATS and HRIS platforms with a strong focus on data accuracy and system maintenance.
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while coordinating effectively across distributed teams.
    • Exposure to both recruiting support and HR operations is highly preferred, with additional experience in onboarding program support considered a plus.
