Internship Retail Capital Markets

About the Role

We are looking for an intern to join our Retail Capital Markets team in Milan. This internship supports the execution of investment mandates across the retail asset class, focusing primarily on the out-of-town segment. You will work in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment, gaining hands-on exposure to live transactions from origination through closing while working with institutional investors, private equity funds, family offices, and developers.

This is a full-time, 6-month internship with a flexible start date.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support sell-side transaction execution from pitch to closing, including preparing marketing materials, investment memoranda, financial analysis, coordinating due diligence, and managing viewings and client meetings

  • Underwrite buy-side acquisition opportunities through detailed financial modeling, analyzing cash flows, tenant performance, and risk-adjusted returns to determine pricing aligned with investor hurdle rates

  • Research market opportunities, track competitive activity, and support relationships with institutional investors, funds, and developers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related analytical discipline

  • Early career experience or strong academic background in real estate, finance or economics (internships or relevant coursework valued)

  • Financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel

  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint and Word for preparing professional materials

  • Solid analytical capability with a clear interest in retail and real estate capital markets & investing

  • Commercial mindset and strong interpersonal skills

  • Fluent business English and Italian; additional European languages are a plus

You possess excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with the ability to analyze and present complex financial data clearly. Naturally inquisitive and commercially minded, you contribute to understanding and solving problems. You have a strong interest in real estate investment and capital markets, coupled with a self-motivated, energetic approach. You thrive in fast-paced environments, can manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to engage confidently with clients, investors and colleagues at all levels.

Compensation: Monthly expense reimbursement of €850 plus €10 meal vouchers per working day.

Cerchiamo una risorsa da inserire in stage nel nostro team Retail Capital Markets a Milano. Lo stage supporta l'esecuzione di mandati di investimento nel settore retail, con focus principale sul segmento out-of-town. Lavorerai in un ambiente dinamico e orientato alle operazioni, acquisendo esperienza diretta su transazioni reali dall'origination alla chiusura, collaborando con investitori istituzionali, fondi di private equity, family office e developer.

Si tratta di uno stage full-time della durata di 6 mesi con data di inizio flessibile.

Responsabilità principali

  • Supportare l'esecuzione di transazioni sell-side dalla presentazione alla chiusura, inclusa la preparazione di materiali di marketing, memorandum di investimento, analisi finanziarie, coordinamento della due diligence e gestione di sopralluoghi e incontri con clienti

  • Valutare opportunità di acquisizione buy-side attraverso modellazione finanziaria dettagliata, analizzando flussi di cassa, performance dei tenant e rendimenti corretti per il rischio per determinare prezzi in linea con i tassi di rendimento target degli investitori

  • Ricercare opportunità di mercato, monitorare l'attività competitiva e supportare le relazioni con investitori istituzionali, fondi e developer

Requisiti

  • Laurea triennale o magistrale in Finanza, Economia, Real Estate o discipline analitiche affini

  • Prima esperienza professionale o solida formazione accademica in real estate, finanza o economia (stage o corsi pertinenti saranno valorizzati)

  • Competenze di modellazione finanziaria con ottima padronanza di Excel

  • Buona conoscenza di PowerPoint e Word per la preparazione di materiali professionali

  • Solide capacità analitiche con chiaro interesse per il retail e i mercati dei capitali immobiliari e gli investimenti

  • Mentalità commerciale e spiccate capacità relazionali

  • Conoscenza fluente dell'inglese e dell'italiano; ulteriori lingue europee costituiscono un plus

Il profilo ideale

Possiedi eccellenti capacità analitiche quantitative e qualitative, con l'abilità di analizzare e presentare dati finanziari complessi in modo chiaro. Naturalmente curioso/a e con mentalità commerciale, contribuisci alla comprensione e risoluzione dei problemi. Hai un forte interesse per gli investimenti immobiliari e i mercati dei capitali, accompagnato da un approccio motivato ed energico. Ti trovi a tuo agio in ambienti dinamici, sai gestire più priorità contemporaneamente e lavori efficacemente sia in autonomia che in team. Forti capacità relazionali e comunicative ti permettono di interagire con sicurezza con clienti, investitori e colleghi a tutti i livelli.

Compenso: Rimborso spese mensile di €850 più €10 di ticket restaurant per giorno lavorativo.
