What this job involves:

As a Portfolio Manager at JLL, you'll oversee the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of multiple real estate and facilities projects, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and client goals. You'll serve as the strategic lead for your assigned portfolio, coordinating cross-functional teams, optimizing resource allocation across projects, and driving performance excellence across all initiatives. Your ability to balance competing priorities, anticipate portfolio-level risks, and drive strategic outcomes will be essential as you guide multiple projects through every phase while maintaining unwavering focus on client satisfaction and operational excellence.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Develop and maintain strategic oversight of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with portfolio objectives, resource capacity, and organizational priorities
  • Lead portfolio-level planning including scope definition, schedule coordination, consolidated budget management, and cross-project risk assessment
  • Facilitate project kickoff meetings and maintain ongoing communication with clients, stakeholders, and project teams across your portfolio
  • Monitor portfolio performance against established milestones and proactively identify interdependencies, resource conflicts, and issues that could impact delivery
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors across multiple projects to ensure alignment on requirements, deliverables, and quality standards
  • Manage portfolio-level budgets, track consolidated expenses, process invoices, and provide regular financial reporting and forecasting to stakeholders
  • Conduct site visits and inspections across projects to verify work quality, safety compliance, and adherence to specifications
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive portfolio status reports, presentations, and documentation to keep all parties informed of progress, risks, and strategic decisions
  • Facilitate cross-project problem-solving sessions and make informed decisions to optimize portfolio outcomes when challenges arise
  • Ensure all project documentation, permits, and closeout materials across your portfolio are completed accurately and delivered on time
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and efficiency gains across your portfolio

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in project management within real estate, construction, or facilities management
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects and delivering results on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of project and portfolio management methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills across diverse audiences
  • Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
  • Demonstrated capability to prioritize competing demands and allocate resources strategically

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing portfolios of projects across diverse property types and geographies
  • Knowledge of building systems, construction processes, and industry regulations
  • Experience working in a client-facing consultancy or corporate real estate environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with strategic thinking and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and foster collaboration in a matrixed organization
  • PMP, PgMP, or similar portfolio/program management certification
