Engineering Lead | Equities Derivatives Technology | Executive Director

We're seeking someone to join our team as an Engineering Lead in ESTAR to lead the development of our next generation applications for intraday risk management and scenario analysis for the global Equity trading business.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is an Executive Director position within the RV2 team with senior individual contributor and product lead responsibilities.

What you will do in the role:

  • You will be in constant communication with all stakeholders to shape the future direction of the product. 
  • You will personally contribute to the development of the product. 
  • You will manage the team’s delivery. 
  • You will coordinate with the rest of the Equity Risk Systems department and the ongoing renovation projects to ensure that the platform goals are met. 

What you will bring to the role:

  • Ability to foster productive relationships with a global trading desk. 
  • Ability to lead the team through engineering challenges. 
  • Understanding of equity derivatives trading business 
  • Understanding of the dynamics of enterprise systems 
  • Experience in dealing with complicated and conflicting requirements and scheduling and reconciling them. 
  • Experience in large scale distributed systems development, on modern infrastructure platforms such as containers and cloud orchestration solutions 
  • Experience with using AI for code generation (e.g. Claude or AMP) would be an advantage
