The Fixed Income Sales team at TD Securities is currently seeking a high calibre individual to join our team as an Associate in Singapore. This is an opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing franchise with high internal visibility with senior leaders within TD Securities. The position will provide a chance to have direct client interaction and responsibility of accounts in a fast-paced, team-oriented and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Providing coverage and service to Institutional clients across Rates & Credit flow products, while supporting our DCM partners.
Currencies in scope are AUD/NZD/JPY/SGD/CNH/SGD/EUR/USD/CAD - with a focus on AUS/NZD.
Strong understanding of following global products:
- Government bonds, IG Credit, and SSA markets
- Interest rate derivatives (IRS, ASW, forwards)
- Repo, funding, and collateral dynamics
Partnering with cross region trading, structuring, and research teams to deliver client solutions.
Maximizing profitability through client developing trusted relationships and deep knowledge of clients.
Organizing and hosting Australian roadshows for DCM clients and internal strategists to engage the client base and promote our global platform through leveraging access to senior PM relationships.
Monitoring macro trends, central bank policy, and global rates developments.
Managing ad-hoc projects and support product development activities and research initiatives.
Requirements
Minimum 3+ years of Fixed Income & Rates markets experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Proficient in the full trade cycle from beginning to end - pitching of trade ideas (primary and secondary), pricing, execution and assist with settlement of trades (if necessary).
Demonstrated ability to market in AUD, NZD and SGD. Additional currencies will be a strong advantage.
Prior experience managing a multiple currency portfolio as our coverage model demands a global view with relative value perspective.
Strong understanding of the Australian onshore funding landscape, including RBA frameworks and liquidity dynamics, to support the expansion of the firm’s AUD funding platform.
Familiarity of documentation required for onboarding and negotiating with client credit partners.
Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks independently.
Experience within an Australian bank or onshore institutional investment firm is required to support immediate engagement and management of senior client relationships.
International exposure required to engage the Australian client base and collaborate with global trading partners on marketing and strategic initiatives.
Clear communicator with the ability to collaborate across regional and global platforms.
Strong analytical capability, commercially driven with a proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
