Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the global compliance advisory function and provide functional oversight to local Compliance Officers across jurisdictions.
  • Serve as the senior compliance advisor to business leadership on strategic initiatives, product launches, partnerships, and commercial growth plans.
  • Provide practical, risk-based advice across Product, BD, Marketing, Operations, Institutional, VIP, and regional business teams.
  • Support expansion into new jurisdictions by assessing regulatory implications, licensing considerations, conduct requirements, and operating model risks.
  • Partner with Legal, AML, Risk, and internal stakeholders/teams on cross-functional regulatory matters.
  • Establish governance frameworks to drive consistency in compliance interpretation, advisory standards, and escalation practices globally.
  • Support regulatory inspections, supervisory engagements, and remediation efforts where advisory leadership is required.
  • Identify emerging regulatory developments and translate them into practical business guidance.
  • Act as the compliance stakeholder for internal tooling and knowledge infrastructure, defining advisory workflows, regulatory knowledge requirements, and decision-support capabilities (including AI-enabled solutions) to improve the quality, consistency, and scalability of compliance advisory.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, balancing commercial objectives with regulatory obligations.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of compliance experience within financial services, fintech, brokerage, capital markets, payments, or digital assets.
  • Deep interest in the crypto and digital assets industry, coupled with the ability to navigate its evolving regulatory landscape, is required.
  • Strong experience in compliance advisory, business compliance, or regulatory leadership roles.
  • Proven experience advising on new products, market expansion, and complex cross-border regulatory matters.
  • Experience providing leadership or functional oversight across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, licensing requirements, conduct risk, governance, and business compliance controls.
  • Experience engaging senior business stakeholders and influencing decision-making in commercially driven environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable compliance frameworks, processes, and internal tooling.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled workflow tools or knowledge management systems is strongly preferred.
