About the role:
As a member of the EVR Supply Chain Management team, the Contract Specialist supports day-to-day market testing initiatives, contract formation, administration, and compliance activities for materials, equipment, and services across EVR’s Canadian operations. You ensure contractual commitments are executed accurately, supplier performance is recorded, and all documentation is maintained in accordance with Glencore policy and applicable legislation.

This person also has excellent collaboration and communication skills and can readily connect with internal and external stakeholders to deliver aligned solutions. We are looking for someone who has a continuous improvement mindset and can identify improvements to business processes and practices. Supply Chain Commercial and Contractual mastery and advanced negotiation skills are essential to the role.

Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
Develop and execute the end-to-end competitive bid process, including strategy development, evaluation of proposals, recommendation for awards, formation and administration of contracts
Negotiate contract terms and conditions while maintaining positive supplier relationships
Identify, implement, and report on opportunities to improve the cost and performance of suppliers
Evaluate and monitor contract performance to determine amendments, extensions, and compliance to contractual obligations including KPIs
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders such as IT managers, teams, service fields, and corporate shared service groups regarding contract management strategies, options, and considerations throughout all stages of contract lifecycles
Ensure adherence to company policies, processes, and work instructions
Implement effective organizational change to ensure contract modifications are accurately evaluated, detailed, and approved
Resolve issues that arise between suppliers and stakeholders
Requirements:
Degree, diploma, certificate, or designation, such as Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or a similar program; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum five years of relevant experience, including strategy development, competitive sourcing, contract formation/execution, and negotiation of technology agreements, such as SaaS subscriptions, cloud services agreements, software license agreements (on-prem), statements of work, service level agreements, data processing/privacy addenda, and security exhibits.
Experience with IT related contracts and running technology related Request For Proposals (RFPs)
Experience with Coupa, or a related system, is an asset
Excellent digital literacy and experience with the Microsoft Office Suite®
Ability to assist in the development and execution of supplier contract agreements and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Supply Chain or Purchasing related systems
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent
