About this role:The Song Marketing lead plays a key role in driving Accenture Song’s growth through the identification, leadership, and conversion of high-value new business opportunities. The Marketing practice is a subset of Accenture Song’s services, that operates at the intersection of creativity, intelligence and technology. We help clients on their Marketing Re-invention journey, building close client relationships to fully understand their growth objectives. From supporting with developing a strategic vision, brand strategy, operating model, new ways of working, to embracing new technologies, driving a culture change or building people capabilities and skills.
In this role, the Marketing lead will reinvent entire marketing portfolios with leading advisory, creative and technology solutions. This position combines strategic judgment, executive presence, and hands-on pursuit leadership to help shape the agency’s future client portfolio.
Partnering closely with agency leadership across strategy, creative, finance, and operations, the Marketing lead will unlock new business pursuits—from early qualification through pitch, negotiation, and close—while ensuring Accenture Song consistently shows up with clarity, ambition, and commercial rigor. In parallel, the Marketing lead plays a key role in setting standards for how the agency approaches new business, mentoring junior talent, and contributing to Song’s market positioning and long-term growth strategy.Individuals in this role will collaborate with other Sales professionals, Industry Client Account Leads and Account Executives to identify, pursue and close new business opportunities in existing and new accounts.
Essential Functions:
The Song Marketing lead will:- Shape the future of marketing re-invention, working with our clients to develop a roadmap of change that helps them to drive growth, performance and efficiencies.
- Combine human ingenuity with technology to make change happen in practice, supporting the people who work in our client businesses to navigate and thrive through times of change.
- Help our clients plan, develop and deliver winning customer experiences
- Support our clients to address today’s financial reality: optimizing marketing investments, and identifying opportunity to fuel growth, using proprietary analytics tools and benchmarks
- Engage with our clients’ marketing leadership teams to explore their vision and purpose, in order to drive business objectives and strategies.
- Develop project content to deliver solutions that exceed client expectations and drive real marketing re-invention
- Guide clients on how Generative AI and agentic technologies can strategically transform their function across people, processes and technology and unlock opportunities that deliver genuine, bottom-line impact.
- Contribute to client projects to shape and co-create Capability Strategies, Operating Models, Transformational Roadmaps and Change Management programmes to drive organisational growth and performance improvement in teams to deliver tangible results
- Assess organisational capability gaps in areas such as Operating model, Insights, Segmentation & Portfolio Strategy, Marketing Strategy & Planning, Medi optimsation, Omnichannel Strategy, Customer Engagement and Digital marketing
- Lead client projects to shape and co-create Capability Strategies, Operating models, Transformational roadmaps and Change Management programmes which drive growth and improve performance in teams, to deliver tangible results
- Support the business growth agenda of Accenture Song and contribute to our Marketing Advisory team spirit, community and culture.
- Partner with other capabilities across Accenture to architect and deliver end-to-end marketing-led transformations.
- Build strong partnerships across Accenture to bring together creativity, technology, and intelligence to deliver end-to-end growth solutions
- Understand current and future client needs in the context of market dynamics, and apply insights to recommend short and/or long-term value creation for the client at the C-suite level that has the appropriate level of impact
- Identify, qualify, and lead high-potential opportunities aligned with the agency’s creative ambition, capabilities, and long-term goals.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the client landscape, competitive environment, and broader marketing, media, and technology ecosystem.
- Own and drive end-to-end new business pursuits, from early prospect conversations through pitch leadership, negotiation, and deal close.
- Develop a robust, long-term pipeline of opportunities to ensure the sustainability of Accenture’s business at the client over time
- Lead senior-level client and prospect engagements, helping frame business challenges and positioning Song as the optimal strategic, creative partner.
- Set the strategic and creative ambition for pitches in partnership with Strategy, Creative, and Account leadership.
- Provide oversight of RFI/RFP responses to ensure they are differentiated, insight-led, and commercially sound.
- Lead and drive performance for Song (e.g., sales, revenue and profitability). Possesses a clear understanding of our business and the triggers and drivers of profitability
- Partner closely with Finance and Operations to shape staffing models, scopes, and commercial structures that support sustainable growth.
- Establish and uphold best-in-class standards for new business processes, materials, storytelling, and internal collaboration.
- Partner with Song Marketing GTM team members to identify and pursue joint opportunities, tangibly demonstrating the power of our collective capabilities.
- Define and evolve the agency’s credentials, case study narrative, and external point of view.
- Is a trusted leader of the agency team who can articulate macro business context and agency ambition, and can mobilize the team
- Build strong people capabilities with clients to enable them to deliver marketing re-invention in practice.
- Lead a team of strategists, media experts, creatives, production teams, performance specialists and technologists to support a full-lifecycle marketing initiative
- Shape vision and sense of purpose for the team for all career levels to attract and develop diverse talent.
- Consciously cultivate an environment that optimizes team strengths and deployment of talent and foster an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Provides guidance and training to the rest of the team and confidently manages without authority
- Is responsible for agency delivery at highest quality across all projects

Essential experience
- A proven record of building strong relationships with clients and bringing in new business.
- Proven track record of leading and winning complex, high‑profile pitches.
- Deep understanding of brand, strategy, creative, and integrated marketing disciplines.
- Expertise and experience across a number of marketing areas such as insight, strategy and planning, innovation, digital, content or campaign development and management
- You will have experience designing and leading the delivery of complex projects including product innovation and marketing campaign development and delivery within a multi-national organisation
- Experience across a breadth of marketing disciplines including insight, strategy and planning, innovation, customer experience, e-commerce and social media marketing.
- Experience leading integrated marketing campaigns from strategy through execution. Deep expertise with campaign strategy, customer insights, marketing analytics, and performance optimization
- Experience working cross-functionally with creative, media, analytics, UX/UI, production, and marketing technology teams
- Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, campaign management tools and customer experience technologies, or marketing solutions
- Ability to translate client objectives, audience insights, and campaign performance into actionable recommendations
- Experience of delivering Gen AI transformation projects. A deep and practical understanding of Generative AI and agentic technologies and their transformative impact on marketing. Strategic experience advising clients on how this technology can reshape their marketing capabilities.
- A natural curiosity and passion for marketing, with a deep understanding of industry trends and the strategic and practical impact of Generative AI, agentic technologies, and the broader marketing technology landscape. The ability to influence, collaborate, partner and build productive working relationships, to shape a compelling future vision for Marketing.
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience shaping scopes, fees, and long‑term client relationships.
- Executive‑level presence with the ability to build trust and influence senior client and internal stakeholders.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering multi-million-dollar programs
- Experience working in a highly matrixed environment and the ability to partner across the Accenture ecosystem

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- 8–12+ years of experience in enterprise sales, consulting, digital transformation, or account leadership.
- 8-10 years of experience in marketing, branding, advertising, transformation marketing role either client side or creative agency, or consultancy.
- Experience in strategy creation, campaign execution and management, content strategy, customer insights and marketing analytics
- Experience selling complex digital, technology, marketing, or transformation solutions.
