Lifecycle Marketing Manager

The Opportunity

As a member of the Lifecycle Marketing group in Japan, you will drive customer growth and engagement for Acrobat. Acrobat is one of Adobe’s flagship products. You will craft marketing programs, mainly email, to acquire, nurture, and retain individual customers. You will work closely with global and regional partners to deliver impactful, data-driven customer experiences.

What you'll Do

  • Plan and implement email marketing programs across acquisition and E&R (engagement & retention) to grow the Acrobat customer base

  • Own the end‑to‑end email marketing process, including audience targeting, send and test planning, content development, performance analysis, and continuous optimization

  • Brief and manage local creative agencies for email and related content production

  • Collaborate directly with a diverse set of team members, including US, India, and Japan organization

  • Participate in pilot or early‑stage initiatives for internal digital marketing tools, providing practical feedback and exploring effective use cases during daily marketing activities

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in email marketing, CRM, or database marketing, including planning and implementing segmented communications based on audience data

  • Strong analytical skills to draw insights from email performance data and to drive ongoing improvement; required skills include Pivot Tables, with experience in BI platforms such as Tableau being beneficial.

  • Experience in marketing communications, with the ability to understand product value propositions and customer insights to deliver relevant, high‑quality messaging

  • Experience in other digital marketing areas beyond email or CRM, such as digital advertising or SEO, is beneficial

  • Project management and organizational skills, with experience managing multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast‑paced marketing environment

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, enabling smooth coordination with internal teams, external partners, and clear reporting of results

  • Writing and editing skills, coupled with capability to build compelling email copy, is a plus

  • Native‑level Japanese proficiency and Business‑level English skills required for daily written communication (email/Slack); basic conversational English is preferred.
