YOUR MISSION

Become a member of our successful Global Run Marketing team based in Somerville, MA USA.  We are currently looking for a Manager, Marketing for our Global Running Business Unit. The Manager, Marketing, will help manage and oversee PUMA’s global sub-elite athlete program, PROJECT3, which includes all races and activations, as well as supporting regional marketing managers with their local execution and activation. Up to 50% of the responsibility will focus on PROJECT3 initiative management. The Manager, Marketing will also assist the Team Head in building long range marketing plans and be a support for various adhoc requests across the Global Run Business Unit.

This candidate must have corporate marketing experience, knowledge of the marketing funnel and understanding of how to build omni-channel marketing plans, passion for sports and specifically running and proven ability in executing successful campaigns.

  • Partner with PUMA globally in connection with the operational, logistical, and creative execution of the Program.

  • Collaborate with PUMA’s global and regional running marketing teams to align on PUMA’s annual objectives, athlete activation moments, and key races, in each case, in connection with the Program.

  • Support the long-term vision and evolution of the Program to ensure alignment with PUMA Running’s brand and performance goals (to be determined by PUMA in its sole discretion).

  • Coordinate athlete communications, product seeding, and logistics for major race moments, in each case, to be determined by PUMA in its sole discretion.

  • Assist in managing the Program’s annual calendar, budget, and partner relationships.

  • Collaborate with PUMA’s brand marketing, creative, and social teams to bring the Program’s stories to life across all channels.

  • Partner with PUMA’s product team to support seeding strategy and athlete feedback loops.

  • Ensure alignment with PUMA’s regional running leads and retail partners on activation(s) in connection with the Program. For the sake of clarity, the exact number and timing of such activation(s) shall be determined by PUMA in its sole discretion.

  • Identify opportunities for optimization and growth in connection with the Program.

  • Support PUMA’s global “RUN” business unit with general marketing needs related to PUMA’s product, press/media, and events.

  • Help manage external agency relationships and serve as day-to-day contact.

  • Assist in management of the marketing budget

  • Support Senior Manager, Team Head and Director Marketing with ad hoc requests

YOUR TALENT

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field  
  • 2-4 years’ experience in Marketing role or proven related experience within an international environment 
  • Authentic connection to the running world (i.e. former athlete or similar) preferred
  • Previous brand marketing experience necessary – at an agency or in-house, previous corporate retail experience a plus 
  • Previous experience activating events and managing athlete facing projects
  • Excellent Written & verbal communication skills
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft excel, power point and word are necessary 
  • Excellent quantitative and organization skills 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a global organization 
  • Strong knowledge of and passion for the sports marketplace, specifically running
  • Proven ability to work independently and drive tasks to completion
  • Dependable and responsible with the ability to take initiative. 
  • Travel required up to 30% domestic/international 

The hiring range base pay for this position is $62,700-$83,380 + Bonus + Benefits
