Director, Product Marketing - Sam's Club Member Access Platform (MAP)

What you'll do...
The Director of Product Marketing will lead the Product Marketing Management (PMM) function for Sam’s Club MAP, serving as the strategic bridge between product innovation and market adoption. This leader will define how MAP’s advertising and experience solutions are positioned, packaged, and brought to market—ensuring clear, compelling narratives that drive advertiser adoption, revenue, and market differentiation. Overseeing PMMs across Onsite Display, Search, Offsite Media, and Experiential and In-Club, this role ensures every offering is translated from product capability into customer value, with consistent go-to-market execution across the portfolio. Acting as both the voice of the product to the market and the voice of the customer back to the organization, this leader drives clarity, alignment, and measurable business impact. What You'll Do... Product Positioning & Commercial Narrative- Define and own the end-to-end product marketing strategy across MAP’s portfolio (Onsite Display, Search, Offsite, Experiential and In-Club).
- Develop clear, differentiated positioning, messaging, and value propositions that translate product capabilities into advertiser value and business outcomes.
- Build a cohesive external narrative that connects MAP’s media, data, and experiences into a compelling, full-funnel story.
- Lead go-to-market planning, launches, and commercialization for all MAP products and solutions.
- Partner with Product, AdTech, and Sales to align on packaging, pricing, and adoption strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Ensure consistency and quality across all GTM materials, sales narratives, and market-facing touch points.
- Oversee the development of pitch decks, case studies, toolkits, and training materials that enable Sales to effectively sell MAP solutions.
- Partner with Training & Enablement to drive readiness, education, and ongoing adoption across internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure teams are equipped to clearly communicate product value and differentiate MAP in market.
- Serve as the central point of alignment across Product, Sales, Marketing, Insights, AdTech, and Operations.
- Represent the voice of the customer and market to inform product roadmap, innovation, and prioritization.
- Lead cross-functional GTM processes, ensuring seamless coordination and execution across work streams.
- Lead and develop a team of PMMs aligned to key product pillars: Onsite Display, Search, Offsite Media, Experiential and In-Club.
- Establish best practices for positioning, GTM planning, measurement, and continuous optimization.
- Drive accountability for adoption, performance, and impact across the PMM function.
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing, retail media, ad tech, or related fields.
- Proven experience leading product marketing or go-to-market functions at scale.
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving product adoption and revenue growth.
- Deep understanding of omnichannel media, retail ecosystems, and advertiser needs.
- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling narratives.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional communication, storytelling, and executive presence.

San Bruno, California US-08848: The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00
Bentonville, Arkansas US-04931: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).
