Influences legislation and regulations impacting Walmarts operations associates and customers by leading coalitions and relevant interest groups to achieve positive legislative or regulatory outcomes providing input on amendments and alternatives to legislative proposals drafting testimony for Congressional hearings drafting and submitting responses to Federal Register notices presenting to various external groups on key issues initiating meetings and interacting with senior executive branch officials members of Congress Congressional staff political party leadership and foreign ambassadors managing Federal Government Relations outreach initiatives and relationships among trade associations thinktanks nongovernmental organizations and coalitions and delivering testimony to executive branch interagency committees Ensures alignment of Walmarts overall corporate goals and business objectives with government policy by providing input on strategic priorities for Public and Government Affairs serving as a subject matter expert on legislative or political issues and strategies and their impact on Walmart goals and objectives determining companys position on toppriority regulatory legislative and interagency proposals representing Walmart on federal legislative and regulatory issues related to various areas determining strategies for issue portfolios based on emerging and existing legislative and regulatory developments preparing Walmart senior and executive management for public testimony on complex issues and preparing speeches and presentations to government and nongovernmental organizations conferences and task forces Directs political strategies and business growth opportunities for geographic business unit regions andor highpriority urban markets under the guidance of senior management by implementing strategies across stakeholders communicating and clarifying strategies for senior corporate leadership directing reputational advertising webbased advocacy polling and external communications creating executive engagement plans to leverage partnerships with key political leaders providing consultation on operations in highstakes complex political environments and recommending budget strategy for national political giving Collaborates with departmental senior management to develop messaging and implement multichannel media strategies to drive and enhance company reputation by creating earned media opportunities via editorial boards and press conferences translating national messaging initiatives and priorities to drive greater impact at the local level creating paid advertisements leveraging social media and ensuring compliance with multichannel media guidelines and governance Represents companys regulatory compliance and policy positions and initiatives with internal and external groups including engagement with policymakers to discuss company positions advancing the companys position at industry and legislative events preparing relevant statements and testimony making presentations at relevant conferences and panels testifying at legislative hearings and discussing key emerging issues or pending legislation with external stakeholders at many levels Drives and oversees the selection and performance of Public and Government Affairs suppliers and external consultants by identifying suppliers consistent with current business and political needs managing the request for proposal process negotiating contract and service terms and leading the evaluation of supplier performance in terms of contract agreements and compliance with company policy Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs developing communicating building support for and implementing business strategies plans and practices analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans determining and supporting resource requirements evaluating operational processes measuring outcomes to ensure desired results identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities promoting a customer environment and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps recruiting selecting and developing talent supporting mentorship workforce development and succession planning and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices developing consequences for violations or noncompliance and supporting the Open Door Policy: Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives engaging key stakeholders in the development execution and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives and supporting associate efforts in these areas Respect the individual: Builds The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...
