Groupon's INTL organic social has no single strategic owner today, and our headline KPI of Total Views sits below target across UK, ES, FR, and DE. This role owns INTL organic strategy end-to-end and runs the AI-native production pipeline that closes the gap without adding the headcount the old model would have required.
Who you'll work with
You'll report to Eduard Martínez Arcediano, Brand Marketing Director, based in Madrid. You share a Specialist resource with Brandi Alexander, your peer Social Media Manager for NA, and partner closely with Rocío Álvarez, the new Creative Director in Madrid, on creative quality and campaign integration. The role leads through influence, not authority. You'll negotiate capacity with the NA Manager rather than escalate, and you'll be building the partnership with the Creative Director from scratch. Two of your three closest working relationships are new, and there isn't an established playbook for either. Candidates who need direct reports or a settled tooling stack to feel safe will find this hard.
What you'll be doing
What success looks like
Day 30: You've audited INTL organic across all four markets, mapped the AI tooling stack, met every key partner (Brandi, Rocío, regional leads, PR, performance marketing), and delivered a written audit with three to five observations and a point of view on the biggest opportunities.
Day 60: Eduard has approved the next two quarters of strategy you proposed (channels, content pillars, AI-native production approach). You've shipped one visible AI-driven content experiment end-to-end and shared the learnings. The peer cadence with Brandi and the creative review with Rocío are running.
Day 90: The AI-native production pipeline is live and shipping more content per week than the old model could. Monthly readouts include "do more, do less, kill" calls against both Total Views and Engagement Rate. The first quarterly plan is in motion. Eduard doesn't have to chase status; you surface what's working and what needs to be killed before he asks.
