Trade Marketing Specialist

Our Trade Marketing Specialist (TMS) is responsible for translating our marketing plans into shopper lead trade marketing activities to drive sales of our Red Bull products, while maintaining our brand personality & values. The TMS will coordinate with the local sales and brand teams to enable the execution of our strategy via our Key Accounts and Field Sales teams.

STRATEGY

You will ensure the Marketing plans are translated into effective Trade Marketing campaigns for the Off Premise team. You will develop Trade Marketing priorities through alignment with Off Premise channel managers – by channel and by account. You will also provide input into the Business Planning process utilising data and insights, and manage the Trade Marketing budget to deliver a cost‑effective programme.

PLANNING

You will manage relationships between Marketing, On Premise and Off Premise teams, ensuring alignment across campaigns. You will manage the Off Premise creative development process with all POS based on global guidelines and oversee agency relationships to ensure efficient, cost‑effective campaigns in line with global standards. In addition, you will manage retail media relationships, programmes and spend, including Cartology (Woolworths) and Precision Media (Foodstuffs), and coordinate third‑party POS and cooler partners for storage, distribution and maintenance of assets.

EXECUTION

You will undertake regular field briefings through quarterly/cycle meetings in conjunction with the Regional Sales Managers to ensure clarity of expectation on all Trade Marketing initiatives. In addition, you will spend regular time in trade to help support and train the field team in Trade Marketing best practice, complete post‑campaign analysis to understand what has worked and what has not, and support the set up and management of Trade Shows.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

You will build strong internal company wide relationships, with clear and open communication (no surprises). In addition, you will also build strong external relationships that support in delivering value for Red Bull. The role involves identifying challenges and opportunities, challenging where appropriate if there are better ways of operating, and using data and analytical skills to create useful, actionable insights. You will have an entrepreneurial mindset – If this was my money, would I spend it?

HEALTH AND SAFETY SELF LEADERSHIP

You will protect yourself, your fellow workers and any other party from unsafe situations by carrying out your duties in a safe, healthy and responsible manner, in accordance with legislative requirements, and by monitoring the safeness of the workplace.

  • 2+ years of experience in Trade Marketing or Shopper Marketing with Brand Marketing exposure, ideally in consumer/shopper insights area
  • Understanding of FMCG industry and sales processes
  • Solid project management skills and cross-functional work competency
  • Confident user of MS PowerPoint with ability to visualize ideas and concepts
  • Confident user of MS Excel or similar tool with strong knowledge how to work with data
