What would you do? The following tasks shall be applicable, depending on the duties assigned to each team member: SOX Compliance: Ensure that master data processes are aligned and compliant with SOX requirements, including access controls, data accuracy, and change management. Ensure all controls are well-defined and continuously monitored. Ensure /supervise that documentation of SOX controls related to master data management, is updated Coordinate testing and validation of SOX controls, identify gaps or issues, and lead efforts to resolve them. Work closely with internal and external auditors to facilitate SOX audits and ensure necessary support during the audit process. Review and coordinate updates to master data processes to ensure they meet SOX compliance requirements. Report on control deficiencies, identify opportunities and support remediation activities. Manage SOX-related controls for master data processes, ensuring they are operating and executed effectively and in compliance with internal and external regulations Prepare for and support SOX audits by coordinating with external auditors and internal audit teams. Ensure documentation for control activities and evidence to support compliance with SOX reporting requirements. Coordinate Daily/Weekly/ Monthly / Bi-Annually/Annual Cleanse exercises (Housekeeping) for data objects in scope Non-SOX Controls: Implement and coordinate internal controls for master data management processes outside of SOX requirements, ensuring they align with industry best practices. Conduct periodic audits of non-SOX controls, ensuring adherence to governance and data quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align non-SOX control activities with broader corporate governance and risk management policies. Oversee the establishment and management of non-SOX controls within the master data function, ensuring alignment with the company’s broader risk management and data governance policies. Continuously assess the effectiveness of non-SOX controls, identifying opportunities for process improvements and ensuring the implementation of corrective actions when necessary. What are we looking for? Knowledge, Skills and Experience: The holder of this position must have IT and strong knowledge of Microsoft Office standard pack (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, etc) and good command of English; Strong knowledge of Master Data internal and global (GPS) procedures; 1-5 years of experience in master data management, data analysis, data quality control or similar role; Diploma holder or University Bachelor Degree; A detailed understanding of the relation with other departments and of the manner in which the activity of this role interferes with other activities; Highly analytical, positive, and organized professional with a strong ability to manage time, handle challenges and deadlines, and deliver accurate results. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and liaise with superiors at all levels and departments, both inside and outside the group; Good understanding of the control environment (Sox and Non-Sox) within GBS & across the business; Seek out and embrace change, adapting quickly and effectively to new situations and challenges; Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. system implementations. Roles and Responsibilities: •General Responsibilities: Lead and coordiante root cause analysis for data discrepancies or issues and recommend corrective actions to the master data management teams. Lead governance efforts, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and security across master data sets. Lead, coordinate and provide ongoing training on SOX and non-SOX controls, ensuring stakeholders understand their responsibilities in maintaining data integrity and compliance. Ensure compliance with master data control standards for data migration and system upgrades. Stay informed on changes to SOX regulations and best practices for data governance and controls and communicate to the master data teams • •Monitor and resolve discrepancies in master data, taking appropriate actions to ensure data accuracy and control effectiveness. Ensuring accurate and timely update of TLDs (Task Level Descriptions) and the knowledge transfer within the DM team; Acting as back up for Team Leader when neededAny Graduation
