Job Description
The Senior Regional Facilities Manager is responsible for leading both the strategic and day-to-day management of facilities operations across the Western United States, with additional oversight of select Central U.S. sites and the Latin America region (including Puerto Rico). Reporting to the Senior Director of Facilities, this role plays a critical part in shaping and executing the company’s regional facilities strategy, ensuring operational excellence, cost efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.
This individual will oversee a diverse portfolio—including office, laboratory, manufacturing, R&D, and warehouse environments—while driving workplace transformation initiatives, capital projects, and service delivery optimization. Success in this role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead facilities operations and maintenance programs across a ~1M sq. ft. regional portfolio, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and high service standards
Manage both in-house and outsourced facilities teams, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture
Drive execution of regional and global facilities initiatives, ensuring consistency in standards, processes, and delivery
Develop and manage annual operating (OPEX) and capital (CAPEX) budgets, including multi-year strategic planning and project roadmaps
Oversee landlord and lease relationships, ensuring compliance with lease terms and optimal property performance
Partner with cross-functional and global peers to align on best practices and enterprise-wide initiatives
Ensure full compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and standards
Act as a strategic partner to regional business leaders, proactively identifying opportunities to support growth, efficiency, and innovation
Lead and deliver capital projects, including renovations, workplace transformations, and construction fit-outs, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget
Develop project scopes, budgets, and schedules, and manage execution from concept through completion
Manage documentation, scheduling, and reporting related to facilities operations and ensure GxP compliance
Advance sustainability initiatives by planning and implementing energy efficiency and environmental programs
Collaborate closely with Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) to maintain safe, compliant, and healthy work environments
Partner with Global Procurement to optimize vendor performance and control spend across the facilities portfolio
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
10+ years of experience in corporate facilities management within complex, multi-site environments
5+ years supervisory experience of facilities management staff supporting site operations
Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance, and infrastructure
Proven experience managing both internal teams and third-party service providers
Experience operating within GxP-regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, or similar) strongly preferred
Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement and customer relationship management
Proficiency in AutoCAD and the ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Advanced project management expertise, including large-scale capital and construction projects
Experience managing complex operational and commercial challenges across diverse environments
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams and time zones
Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%
