JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project/Task Sr. Manager will support the Intelligence Data Science Team (IDST) Program in Tampa, FL.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Project/Task Senior Manager, you will support the Program Manager on‑site at Headquarters U.S. Special Operations Command in Tampa, FL, helping deliver mission‑critical capabilities that strengthen the SOCOM Intelligence Enterprise. This work enables intelligence analysts across the enterprise to access, integrate, and exploit large volumes of commercial, publicly available, and classified data through a government‑owned, open‑source enterprise software environment deployed across multiple classification enclaves.
JOB DUTIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO)
Coordinate day‑to‑day operations across engineering and mission support teams to maintain alignment with program objectives.
Maintain and track program risks, issues, and mitigation plans, ensuring proactive communication and resolution.
Manage administrative tracking tools such as personnel rosters, timecards, training and access lists, license inventories, financial trackers, and travel estimates.
Support the Program Manager with purchase requests, ODC submissions, contract modifications, and coordination with finance teams on forecasting and revenue planning as necessary.
Oversee new‑hire onboarding, ensuring compliance with security, system access, and program SOP requirements.
Prepare and consolidate inputs for bi‑weekly and monthly reports, including progress updates, risks, accomplishments, and financial summaries.
Serve as a point of contact for the Government COR, APM, AOR, and customer leadership; help manage recurring PMO meetings and stakeholder engagements.
Provide support for billing, collections, timekeeping accuracy, and adherence to program policies and procedures.
Ensure all program documentation is current, audit-ready, and properly secured within the team’s SharePoint environment.
Assist facilitation of Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives, and PI planning, promoting transparency and disciplined Agile practices.
Assist with planning and executing quarterly planning conferences, including agenda development, facility coordination, and participant communications.
Oversee requirements capture, backlog refinement, and documentation processes, ensuring consistent and accurate inputs to program artifacts.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Experience supporting or managing technical programs within the Department of War or Intelligence Community.
Exceptional organizational and verbal/written communication skills with a growth mindset and customer-service orientation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including SharePoint, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience working with program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including sprint execution, Program Increment planning (Scaled Agile Framework), and cross functional coordination.
Familiarity with software development, systems integration, or engineering environments involving multiclassification systems.
DESIRED SKILLS:
Experience with Technical Delivery projects
Experience with Other Transaction Agreements
Experience working within the Special Operations or Intelligence communities
Experience with overseas staffing processes related to SOFA
Experience using JIRA, Confluence, Oracle business suite, Unanet, and Concur
Experience in proposal/task order response planning and submission
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Clearance: Current DoW TOP SECRET Clearance with SCI Eligibility is required
Experience: 5 years of related experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience
Certifications:
Required: CAPM, PMP preferred
Not Require (but nice to have): SAFe Agile or Agile Scrum
Role requirements: On-Site, 5 days per week
