As a Semiconductor Supplier Quality Engineer, you will work in collaboration with Suppliers, Hardware Designers, Commodity Managers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Data Center teams. You will set and manage semiconductor component quality and reliability standards, drive supplier factory certification audits, and lead component and manufacturing site qualifications. You'll actively manage NPI and sustaining quality, continuous improvements, and ensure lessons learned are actioned back to suppliers and partner teams. You will drive true root cause failure analysis and systemic corrective actions with comprehensive preventative actions. In addition, you will extract and analyze data from supplier facilities, Google production lines, and Google data centers to verify performance and drive improvements.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $144000 - $209000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience as a quality, reliability or product engineer.
  • 8 years of experience in semiconductor ICs manufacturing processes- wafer fab, assembly and test.
  • Ability to travel as needed (15%-20%).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Materials, or a related engineering field.
  • 15 years of experience in quality, reliability and semiconductor IC technology.
  • Experience setting up manufacturing assembly processes, driving product launches and assembly process optimization within manufacturing operations.
  • Experience in technical leadership, project management, and executive communication.
  • Experience with Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS (BCD), Multi-Chip-Module (MCM), and CMOS Planar Technology.
  • Solid knowledge of semiconductor device physics.
