THE JOB

Citizens Live at The Wylie is seeking an Operations Supervisor to support the Operations Manager and other venue leadership in the day-to-day oversight and maintenance of the facility. This position will work alongside all departments to ensure a positive guest and staff experience, and that all needs are met both during and outside of show days. They will also oversee the Operations department.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

  • Works directly with the Ops Manager, General Manager, and other department heads to perform day of show duties for concerts and special events.
  • Perform opening/running/closing duties as assigned by Operations Manager and according to Live Nation policy.
  • Oversee operations crew members for set up and tear down of tables, chairs, and other venue equipment for events.
  • Work with security, guest services, and other teams to ensure service standards are met and guest and staff concerns are being addressed.
  • Assist Cleaning Manager in ensuring building cleanliness before, during, and after shows—report or address full trash cans, spills, etc. and oversee post-show cleanup assistance from other departments.
  • Help oversee facility maintenance and repairs and address issues as they arise.
  • Coordinate with department heads and Operations Manager to make arrangements to repair and/or replace damaged equipment.
  • Inform guests of available venue amenities and upgrades and make recommendations when applicable.
  • Keep current on all Standard Operating Procedures and be able to effectively communicate them to team members.
  • Assist in the preparation for show days including charging radios, organizing uniforms, and tracking equipment.
  • Help oversee staff check-in, including documenting equipment used and time of arrival and departure, inclusive of third party vendors.
  • Relay information from management directly to staff.
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per Responsible Alcohol Service training & Live Nation alcohol policies.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings alongside Operations Manager.
  • Communicate to Operations Manager and/or General Manager any issues that guests or team members may have.
  • Work with department heads to resolve guest issues—consult or involve Operations Manager if the situation escalates.
  • Assist with all ejection logs and completing incident reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

  • Working knowledge of event operations.
  • Ability to work various, flexible hours, inclusive of nights and weekends.
  • Skills in guest and staff relations—assessing and anticipating needs of guests and crew members to turn potentially negative situations into positive ones.
  • Prioritization of duties and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Turn potentially negative situations into positive ones.
  • Communicate well with team members and managers and foster an atmosphere of unity and camaraderie.
  • High School Diploma required.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a live music environment.
  • College diploma in related field.
  • Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent.

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful.
  • Position requires extended periods of standing, walking, and being on your feet.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 40 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
