Location: Halifax or Leeds
Salary: £61,344-£74,976 pa
Contract: Permanent, Full Time (35 hours)
ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for a strategic and highly organised Marketing Strategy & Planning Manager to join our Affluent, Save & Invest Full Funnel Marketing team within Brands, Marketing & Experience.
This is a pivotal role at the heart of our Strategy & Performance function. You’ll lead the development of our annual marketing strategy, translate this into a clear and actionable plan, and ensure delivery against key objectives throughout the year.
You’ll connect long-term strategy with in-year execution-working across marketing, product and business teams to drive alignment and deliver measurable impact.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Marketing strategy development
Shaping, leading and delivering the creation of the annual Affluent Save & Invest annual marketing strategy, grounded in customer insight, market trends and business objectives
Partnering with product, proposition and commercial teams to ensure alignment with wider priorities
Evidence having managed your own budget and being the main decision maker on marketing strategy initiatives
Planning and execution
Owning the annual marketing plan, ensuring alignment to strategy, budgets and resources
Collaborating across Full Funnel teams, Marketing Accelerators and Insights, Planning & Effectiveness to deliver integrated, optimised and measurable plans
Stakeholder alignment and influencing skills
Creating clear, compelling narratives for senior partners
Demonstrating a strong track-record of influencing across levels and functions
Building strong cross-functional relationships to enable effective delivery
WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’re looking for a proactive, self-starting individual who approaches challenges with pragmatism and adaptability. You’ll be resilient, commercially minded, and comfortable thinking strategically while operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
You’ll also bring proven experience of 5+ years across:
Marketing Strategy, Planning & Delivery (5+ years)
Strong experience in developing and delivering marketing strategy and plans
Owning marketing strategy budget and being the key decision maker on how that’s used
Business & Commercial Foresight (5+ years)
Solid understanding of full-funnel marketing across brand, acquisition and customer outcomes
Communication, collaboration & influencing skills (3+ years)
Confident in building effective, trusting and strong relationships, with the ability to influence across all l levels
It would be great if you also had
Experience within financial services or a regulated environment
Familiarity with OKR frameworks and performance management processes
Experience working in complex, matrixed organisations
