The Project Manager & Store Maintenance Retail Europe is responsible for driving the overall development, implementation, and execution of Retail Store Maintenance in PUMA’s European portfolio, as well as building out projects in owned & operated stores across the region. The purpose of this role is to solve stores’ maintenance and repair issues quickly through sustainable and cost-effective solutions, contributing to PUMA’s vision to provide customers and employees with a high-quality service and retail environment. The role also involves detailed management of the store development process for FPS’ & FOC’s, ongoing coordination of 3rd party consultants & suppliers, including project technical documentation, budgets, and schedules. This position works in close collaboration with the departments of Retail Europe to ensure successful project execution.
Project budget, deadlines, execution excellence including build-out quality and efficient, timely communication with all stakeholders
Maintain the store maintenance tracking tool, providing transparency on maintenance work plans & requests, supplier assignment, execution schedules, expenses, reporting progress, etc
Responsible for overseeing maintenance efforts across Retail Europe Stores and for yearly budget
Development & coordination of project phasing to ensure delivery
Coordination of 3rd party consultants (local architects, general contractors, interior fit out companies, security system planner, light system planner, acoustic system planner, multimedia/digital signage planner, etc.)
Focus on development & execution of store concept implementation, space planning & procurement activities while monitoring project internal and external communication, budgets, and timelines
Engage on real estate location and negotiate unit handover conditions once identified by the Director Retail Operations, Leasing & Store Developmentreview/evaluate locations/units in line with respective lease agreements
Identification & preselection of suitable general contractors and management of tender development
Be on site to supervise the construction phase of projects to ensure accurate store development execution
Yearly review of vendors’ quality, timelines, and cost analysis focused on driving improvements
Ensure close-out documentation are in place and in line with country regulations and guarantee that project archives are up to date
Development of a Store Manual as a dedicated project, serving as the single source of truth for all store operations by consolidating information, aligned across all relevant departments and mandatory areas (e.g. H&S, Marketing, Loss Prevention)
Store maintenance service includes ordering and repairing of: HVAC, instore fixtures, logos, painting, flooring, lights, windows, mannequins, screens, cabling, general repairs, facelift for store fixture re-zoning, and more (all components to operate a retail environment).
3 years work experience in project management, construction, store maintenance or retail operations
Bachelor degree in Project Management, Facility Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Retail
Strong organizational skills, ability to accomplish several tasks and projects simultaneously
Flexible and able to deal with changes on a fast-paced environment.
Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to deadlines and willingness to take additional responsibility
Excellent verbal and written English skills; any other European language would be a plus.
