Real Estate Project Delivery Associate Manager

Salesforce · Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan

About the Role

We're looking for an Associate Manager to join Salesforce's Tokyo-based Project Design & Delivery team. You'll support a growing portfolio of workplace projects across Japan, from office fit-outs to stakeholder requests and work closely with a Senior Director, based in San Francisco, who will help you grow. If you're early in your project management career, highly organized, and ready to take on real responsibility in a fast-moving global environment, this is the right role for you.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the delivery of concurrent workplace projects across Japan — including office fit-outs, space improvements, and stakeholder-driven requests

  • Assist in tracking project scope, schedule, cost, and quality across active workstreams, maintaining accurate and up-to-date project trackers

  • Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and design consultants — following up on deliverables and helping keep timelines on track

  • Support regular project pipeline and status meetings, preparing materials, capturing actions, and following up on outstanding items

  • Assist in preparing project updates, milestone summaries, and status reports for internal stakeholders and leadership

  • Build and maintain positive relationships with internal Salesforce stakeholders including Real Estate, Finance, IT, and Workplace Services

  • Help identify project risks and issues, escalating to the Senior Manager as appropriate

  • Support process documentation and contribute to team best practices and playbooks

  • Navigate local vendor and building management relationships in Tokyo with cultural awareness and professionalism

  • Travel occasionally within APAC as project needs require

  • Timezone flexibility to report back to HQ in San Francisco

What We’re Looking For

  • 3–5 years of experience in project coordination or project management, ideally within corporate real estate, workplace, facilities, or construction

  • Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English — written and verbal — is required

  • Familiarity with Japanese construction standards, permitting processes, or local contractor ecosystems

  • Exposure to office fit-outs or workplace delivery projects

  • Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and global stakeholders

  • A proactive, collaborative working style with a willingness to learn and take initiative

  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal

  • Collaborate with cost consultants during the cost management and project closeout phases of major tenant improvement (TI) projects.

  • Understand and manage the design management phase of projects, along with the full lifecycle of typical real estate developments.

  • Coordinate international design and construction efforts, ensuring compliance with statutory codes and permitting regulations.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of design and construction contracts, including international and local terms and conditions.

  • Oversee third-party consultants and project management services to ensure project alignment with goals and standards.
