Real Estate Project Delivery Associate Manager
About the Role
We're looking for an Associate Manager to join Salesforce's Tokyo-based Project Design & Delivery team. You'll support a growing portfolio of workplace projects across Japan, from office fit-outs to stakeholder requests and work closely with a Senior Director, based in San Francisco, who will help you grow. If you're early in your project management career, highly organized, and ready to take on real responsibility in a fast-moving global environment, this is the right role for you.
What You’ll Do
Support the delivery of concurrent workplace projects across Japan — including office fit-outs, space improvements, and stakeholder-driven requests
Assist in tracking project scope, schedule, cost, and quality across active workstreams, maintaining accurate and up-to-date project trackers
Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and design consultants — following up on deliverables and helping keep timelines on track
Support regular project pipeline and status meetings, preparing materials, capturing actions, and following up on outstanding items
Assist in preparing project updates, milestone summaries, and status reports for internal stakeholders and leadership
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal Salesforce stakeholders including Real Estate, Finance, IT, and Workplace Services
Help identify project risks and issues, escalating to the Senior Manager as appropriate
Support process documentation and contribute to team best practices and playbooks
Navigate local vendor and building management relationships in Tokyo with cultural awareness and professionalism
Travel occasionally within APAC as project needs require
Timezone flexibility to report back to HQ in San Francisco
What We’re Looking For
3–5 years of experience in project coordination or project management, ideally within corporate real estate, workplace, facilities, or construction
Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English — written and verbal — is required
Familiarity with Japanese construction standards, permitting processes, or local contractor ecosystems
Exposure to office fit-outs or workplace delivery projects
Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and global stakeholders
A proactive, collaborative working style with a willingness to learn and take initiative
Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal
Collaborate with cost consultants during the cost management and project closeout phases of major tenant improvement (TI) projects.
Understand and manage the design management phase of projects, along with the full lifecycle of typical real estate developments.
Coordinate international design and construction efforts, ensuring compliance with statutory codes and permitting regulations.
Demonstrate knowledge of design and construction contracts, including international and local terms and conditions.
Oversee third-party consultants and project management services to ensure project alignment with goals and standards.
