What You’ll Do

As a Logistics Supervisor, you’ll be part of our team located in Montpelier, IN. You’ll get to: 

  • Direct supervisor of hourly employees for departments assigned. 
  • Review inventory for obsolescence, quality holds, etc. and recommend actions 
  • Ensure product is shipped on time and coordinate expedites with customer service 
  • Inventory cycle counts   
  • Completes MMOG’s and performs finished goods inventory  
  • Procures materials needed for departments of responsibility 
  • Ensures housekeeping and 6S initiatives are completed and met for department. 
  • Complies with and enforces all safety rules, regulations and policies for employees.  
  • Completes accident investigation forms in a timely manner, participates in investigations and is a part of solutions for improved safety for all near miss, recordable or lost time incidents.  
  • Proactive with continuous improvement projects, processes and systems for department. 
  • Communicates with management team any difficulties or issues that arise due to condition of machines, employee actions, quality problems. 
  • Provides training as needed/required to employees 
  • Able to work weekends as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, management or related field preferred 
  • Supervisory experience, 3+ years, manufacturing experience preferred 
  • Computer skills in Microsoft office, particularly Word and Excel   
  • Knowledge of basic manufacturing, quality and safety practices

The Salary range for this position is $63,800.00 - $102,700.00

  • This is the lowest to highest annual full-time salary range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The salary offered within the range may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and in compliance with local wage requirements. Please note that salary is only one component of total rewards at Stanley Black & Decker. ​
