Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining high levels of production, quality, and yield while ensuring a safe work environment. The role requires a strong understanding of production processes, accurate recordkeeping, and effective line maintenance and staffing.
Key responsibilities include reviewing daily production orders to meet customer requirements; ensuring all positions are staffed prior to line startup; overseeing team member warm-up exercises and job rotations to support ergonomics; and ensuring equipment operates at optimal performance. The position also ensures all workstations pass USDA inspection, promotes safety through daily practices and monthly meetings, and maintains accurate product shipment, inventory rotation, and coding.
Additional responsibilities include communicating company benefits and compensation policies, fostering team engagement and performance, and supporting key human resource functions such as training, retention, and employee relations. The role also involves overseeing processing operations, collaborating with other supervisors to resolve issues, maintaining records of reworked or returned products, reinforcing quality standards, and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma required; additional education or vocational training preferred
- Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency preferred
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervise a team performing similar or related tasks, ensuring productivity, quality, and adherence to company standards.
Travel:
1–5 trips per year
