About the role: What's in the Box

As FSQA Lead (Food Safety & Quality Assurance), you will assume overall responsibility for food safety and quality assurance at the Factor_ production site in Verden. You will drive the operational development of quality and food safety standards while ensuring compliance with the highest internal and external requirements. You will act as the central interface between Production, Intralogistics, and Engineering, fostering close cross-functional collaboration. You will also manage a team, further develop structures and processes, and actively promote a proactive, prevention-oriented quality culture across the site.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

  • Lead the FSQA team at the Verden site, including QA/QC (Quality Assurance/ Quality Control) and sanitation operations.
  • Drive the further development and implementation of all food safety and quality assurance processes.
  • Manage daily FSQA operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while fostering continuous improvement.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report FSQA performance using KPIs, trend analysis, and site quality metrics.
  • Evaluate quality deviations, initiate root cause analyses, and implement effective Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs).
  • Coordinate the escalation and resolution of food safety and quality incidents as well as recalls in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Intralogistics, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to further develop processes in a data-driven and risk-oriented manner.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients 

  • Degree in food technology, food chemistry, nutrition science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in food safety and quality assurance within the food or feed manufacturing industry, combined with leadership experience in a dynamic production environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant food safety standards and certifications (e.g., HACCP, GFSI) as well as experience in preparing for and conducting external audits.
  • Strong understanding of complex production processes with the ability to implement effective cross-functional improvements.
  • Data-driven, analytical, and solution-oriented working style with a structured, independent approach and strong prioritization skills as well as proficiency in Google Workspace (G-Suite)
  • Strong communication skills and confident stakeholder management, combined with a hands-on mentality and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English and good command of German (minimum B1/B2 level).
