Program & Change Manager

Arc'teryx · North Vancouver, BC (Corporate)

Your Opportunity:

As a Program & Change Manager within Change Management & Capacity Planning, you own the project management and change management of retail initiatives — from scoping and delivery planning through build and rollout — ensuring they are tightly managed and introduced to stores in a way that will land. Our team is unique in that we are very collaborative in how we work: we have dedicated team members supporting each cross-functional partner to achieve shared initiatives throughout the year.

This role is highly critical to keeping the portfolio of initiatives with our partners tracked and delivered. You will also bring a strategic lens to how initiatives are prioritized and sequenced across North America, helping create a complete, coordinated picture of work that protects store capacity and the guest experience. Success in this role requires strong judgment, the ability to create clarity in ambiguous situations, and comfort escalating or re-sequencing work when needed.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Operational Solutions team defines how Arc’teryx plans, invests in, and delivers the systems, programs, and operating models that enable retail performance at scale. As a team, we focus on creating clarity where complexity exists, ensuring change is intentional, coordinated, and grounded in real store needs.

Within this structure, the Change Management & Capacity Planning function serves as the connective layer for all store-impacting work — ensuring initiatives are scoped appropriately, sequenced intentionally, and delivered with quality to protect both team and guest experience.

If you were in the Program & Change Manager role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Owning a portfolio of initiatives for multiple cross-functional partners, keeping priorities, sequencing, and delivery status tracked and visible throughout the year
  • Managing end-to-end project management of large-scale retail programs, including defining scope, building plans, coordinating partners, making decisions, and ensuring launches land smoothly
  • Leading roadmapping, prioritization, and scoping and discovery, bringing consistency to how initiatives move from intake through rollout and sustainment
  • Setting up and maintaining project structure, including meetings, tracking risks and dependencies, keeping documentation organized, and factoring in store capacity
  • Leading change rollout for your retail initiatives, making sure stores adopt changes successfully
  • Identifying risks early and working with partners on practical solutions, keeping senior leaders informed when decisions or timing shifts are needed
  • Helping build and improve program management and change management frameworks  artifacts, partnering with retail-facing teams so they’re used consistently, and acting as a consultant to other teams as they adopt our ways of working
  • Supporting to create a clear, combined view of all retail initiatives across North America, to support leadership visibility, sequencing, and prioritization
  • Are You Our Next Program & Change Manager?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in business, operations, program management, or change management
  • You have 5+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives
  • You have demonstrated success delivering large, non-technology retail or operational programs end-to-end
  • You bring strong organizational and project management skills and create clarity where ambiguity exists
  • You are a clear, credible communicator who can translate complex work into simple, actionable content for diverse audiences — including pod partners, store leaders, and senior stakeholders
  • You are comfortable escalating risks and re-sequencing work to protect store and guest experience
  • You influence without authority and guide cross-functional teams through complex, ambiguous problems
  • You seek the best (but sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right.
