We are looking to hire a Plant Operator for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Moncton, NB. A Plant Operator has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Plant Operator is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
What will your job involve?
Receiving and processing of the various waste streams.
Scans waste into Route Optics for proper record keeping purposes.
Maintains the boiler and the autoclave functions to ensure maximum operating efficiency.
Ensures that all waste is properly processed and/or stored in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Ensures an adequate supply of clean reusable bins and totes are readily available for logistics purposes.
Washes and ensures quality control of all reusable bins and totes.
Ensures housekeeping issues, e.g., spills cleaned up, floor is dry, and debris not on floor, etc., are addressed immediately.
Performs additional duties and assists in other areas of the plant operation as directed by Operations Supervisor
