Executive Assistant - Government Affairs

 You’ll join Spotify’s Global Government Affairs and Public Policy team, and will be based in Washington, DC. This team works closely with policymakers, regulators, and industry partners to help shape policy conversations that impact creators, users, and the broader digital ecosystem. In this role, you’ll act as a key operational partner to senior leadership—helping drive coordination, communication, and execution across a fast-moving and highly visible environment.

What You'll Do

  • Manage complex, fast-moving calendars across multiple time zones, ensuring leaders are focused on high-priority government and policy engagements

  • Build high-quality presentations and briefing materials for internal leadership, policymakers, and external stakeholders

  • Prepare leaders for meetings by developing agendas, compiling background materials, and ensuring alignment on key messages

  • Coordinate policy meetings, stakeholder engagements, and internal briefings with strong attention to detail

  • Support logistics for external engagements and events in Washington, DC, including coordination with venues, security, and cross-functional partners

  • Support inbox and communications management, prioritizing time-sensitive requests and drafting responses when needed

  • Track key policy priorities, deadlines, and deliverables, ensuring follow-through across multiple workstreams

  • Arrange business travel, including detailed itineraries for policy-related engagements

  • Manage expense reporting and ensure compliance with internal policies

  • Take on operational projects that improve team efficiency, including workflow optimization and documentation

  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders, representing Spotify with professionalism and care

Who You Are

  • You have 5+ years of experience supporting senior leaders, ideally in government affairs, policy, or a related environment

  • You are highly skilled in building clear, compelling presentations (Google Slides or similar) for executive and external audiences

  • You handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and strong judgment

  • You communicate clearly and can adapt your style for different audiences, including senior leaders and external stakeholders

  • You are highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment

  • You build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across teams and functions

  • You are proactive and anticipate needs, solving problems before they arise

  • You are comfortable operating across multiple workstreams and connecting the dots between them

  • You manage your time effectively and adjust quickly as priorities shift

  • You are experienced with Google Workspace and collaboration tools such as Slack

  • You are open to occasional travel as needed

  • You bring a steady, reliable approach and thrive in dynamic environments
