Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor

This individual should enjoy working in a team centric environment. The Warehouse & Inventory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all warehouse functions and material inventory oversight and accounting.  This role encompasses Warehouse day-to-day operations including receiving, stocking, bar code scanning, and maintaining inventory systems data integrity at their location by working with Operations personnel who may be consuming or utilizing warehouse inventory.  This role also encompasses overseeing Facilities Management responsibilities within their assigned footprint, including but not limited to Buildings & Grounds maintenance, contractor (or internal employee) oversight & supervision, contract negotiations, preventive maintenance scheduling & tracking (HVAC, backflow prevention, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)), budget oversight, landlord negotiations, and project management of any renovations, refurbishments, building projects, or relocations.

Essential Job Functions:     
•Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational and personnel policies and procedures
•Work with local Operations to ensure compliance with materials tracking standards,
•Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
•Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
•Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system
•Identify material risks to stocking levels and work with procurement/operations on min/max level or ordering of material to augment stock
•Track and report any damage or material returns needed upon receipt
•Perform monthly and quarterly Inventory audits
•Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
•Monitor and ensure all Warehouse standards, space planning, and tracking are compliant with company standards
•Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
•Manage all contractors or sub-contractors performing warehouse or facilities activities within assigned footprint
•Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:                                                              
•Superior organizational and time-management skills a must
•Strong analytical and reporting skills
•Physical strength and stamina with the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time and lift up to 70 lbs
•Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with internal and external customers and contractors
•Experience to help identify and develop Warehouse & Safety Standards
•Proven experience using Inventory Control systems and tools
•Equipment Maintenance
•Experience managing Facilities related activities, buildings project, and preventive maintenance is desired
•Microsoft Office Suite of applications
Education and Experience:    
•Associates degree in project management or logistics preferred 
•At least 2 years proven work experience in a Warehouse environment performing receiving and outbound duties
•Valid driver’s license
•Forklift certification a plus
