Supervisor Production - Project

Summary:

Provides essential office and onsite support and supervision within the Production Management team throughout the development, operation, and strike of Entertainment projects of various scales, including marquee events, daily park entertainment, placemaking efforts, and other special projects in the areas of budget, schedule, scope, and other production management functions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities per the needs of the event/project may include, but are not limited to:

  • Researching and/or sourcing items as required
  • Procuring, tracking, and reconciling purchases
  • Tracking development and implementation of content (script revisions, design packets, installation of elements, etc.)
  • Generating, overseeing, and tracking project schedules and timelines
  • Taking notes/disseminating details from production meetings/onsite visits, primarily using dedicated software (Wrike). Leads breakout meetings or site visits as required
  • Setting up and running of meetings with multiple attendees/senior team members
  • Interfaces with vendors and/or in-house trades during the production process, ensuring proper and safe completion of scope. Communicates issues with project team and coordinates solutions.
  • Partnering with design team to locate existing and/or procure new assets or services needed for productions, including writing scopes of work and requests for proposal in collaboration with subject matter experts.
  • Generates documentation that captures the production process and scope, including tool cards, element lists, strike manifests, photo documentation, etc.
  • Provides additional supervision for special events and projects including venue/area supervision, etc.
  • Works closely and efficiently with other park operating departments
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health and Safety responsibilities by following established USH policy, procedures, training, and employee involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong communication skills, including excellent writing and speaking abilities: ability to communicate precise information to and from multiple sources
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Superior leadership and motivational skills
  • Ability to work successfully and safely in a fast paced and continually changing environment with accelerated production schedules, comfortable with ambiguity while seeking clarity
  • Familiarity with the park at night and an ability to safely drive a golf cart in various lighting conditions
  • Excellent computer and Office 365 skills
  • Familiarity with Wrike project management software or other project management software.
  • Previous experience in scheduling
  • Passion to drive high quality results in a team environment
  • Background with the project management field including experience, certifications, or degrees (e.g. PMI/PMP certificate or other industry recognized credential).
