Lead programs which consist of multiple projects (led by Project Managers); projects within the program may share dependencies, and delivery of the overall program will enable realization of benefits across the program, and achieve customer value. Provide vision, strategy, governance and business objective alignment. Responsible for program metric tracking, and managing financials and profitability. Provide leadership and hold the customer and program team accountable to deliver programs on-time, within budget, with high quality while achieving customer satisfaction. Perform overall program-level planning, resource management, stakeholder engagement, communications planning and oversight of interdependent projects ensuring smooth transition to Operations . Act as a mentor and first point of escalation to Project Managers. Identify opportunities for additional business, provide input to presales evaluation, requirements gathering, and renewals. Identify risk, issues and develop risk response strategy at the program level. Lead the execution of contract Change Management process at the program level. Manage partner/subcontractor delivery and commercials. Contribute to Cisco’s Program Manager Role Community by sharing lessons learned and best practices, and involvement in strategic initiatives.
What You’ll Do:
• Typically focused on one (1) large, complex customer program
• Serve as a Service Transition Lead within the presale’s environment, when required
• Recognized Program Management expert within Cisco, the industry and by Cisco's stakeholders (participates in industry panel discussion, delivers training, published articles and whitepapers within Cisco and externally; presents at conferences)
• Close alignment with Regional Delivery Director
• Coaching and developing high-performing program teams
• Successfully delivering across Cisco organization, operating model and culture
• Shares Best Practices for PqM leadership role across the Global PMO Community
• Recognized as a thought leader in Program Management across the Program Manager community
• Effective leverage of repeatable assets and processes
• Leads medium to large regional projects, including partners/suppliers, Cisco and customers
• Capable of leading large group of program delivery resources across multiple global locations
• Serve as a mentor and leader to Project Managers
• Drive collaboration with Sales and Business Development roles
• Ensures overall program structure and program management processes enable the delivery team to successfully achieve on time, within budget, and high-quality business outcomes for our Customers.
• Able to navigate program delivery across multi-cultured matrixed environment
• Formulating and driving Improved profitability plans for Cisco
• High quality delivery against contracted business outcomes
• Lead small group of project delivery resources across locations, including partners/suppliers, Cisco and customer
• Capable of leading large group of program delivery resources across multiple regional locations
• Mentor and coach for Project Specialists and PMs
• Work reviewed between critical project milestones
Minimum Qualifications:
• Twelve (12) + years industry experience in a project and program management environment in comparable industry, ideally (not required) in an IT/Telco centric organization
• Successful demonstration of managing large scale budget or P&L.
• Three (3) of the above 12 years should be leading Programs.
