Role Overview
As a Sustainability Program Manager, you will play a key role in implementing our corporate environmental initiatives to support 2040 Net Zero carbon, water, and waste goals across our APAC corporate office portfolio. This role requires strong project management skills, technical proficiency with AI tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable sustainability outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning Support: Help develop and implement sustainability roadmaps for 2040 Net Zero regional goals aligned with global guidance, specifically supporting carbon neutrality, water stewardship, and waste prevention initiatives for corporate offices.
Project Management: Manage specific sustainability projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables are met on time, dive deep into the issues/challenges to resolve within scope, and aligned with corporate sustainability targets. Track project milestones and escalate risks to senior leadership.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and building management partners to support the execution of sustainability programs. Facilitate communication between internal and external stakeholders to monitor progress on sustainable actions.
Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in existing workflows and propose streamlined solutions to leadership. Support the implementation of approved process improvements that enhance operational efficiency.
AI-Driven Project Tracking: Utilize in-house AI tools to automate project tracking, monitor program milestones, and generate reports on project status and potential risks in sustainability initiatives.
Analytics & Reporting: Leverage AI and data platforms to build and maintain dashboards that provide visibility into sustainability performance metrics and progress toward projects/programs/2040 goals.
Portfolio & Lease Support: Support Sustainable Portfolio reporting initiatives and contribute to Lease Assessment projects to ensure occupied spaces meet environmental standards.
Knowledge Development: Develop expertise in sustainability topics and provide guidance to stakeholders on integrating green practices into business operations.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 5+ years in Sustainability, Environmental Management, Corporate Real Estate, or related fields with demonstrated project management experience.
AI & Digital Literacy: Working knowledge of AI-powered tools for data analysis, dashboard creation, and project tracking. Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies.
Process Improvement: Ability to identify process inefficiencies and work collaboratively to develop practical solutions for stakeholder adoption.
Project Management: Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables. PMP, CAPM, or similar certification is a plus.
Collaborative Approach: Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams and build productive working relationships across organizational boundaries.
Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of carbon accounting, waste diversion, water conservation, and green building certifications (or willingness to develop this knowledge).
Preferred Skills
Exposure to sustainable real estate practices or green building standards (LEED, WELL, etc.).
Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar process-improvement methodologies.
Experience working in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
