Position Summary:

We are seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to oversee government programs, ensuring successful execution across cost, schedule, performance, and compliance requirements. This role requires strong leadership, operational discipline, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams, subcontractors, and customer relationships in a regulated environment.

The ideal candidate brings proven experience in program execution, federal contracting, compliance, and team leadership, with the ability to operate independently while influencing stakeholders at all levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program & Contract Management
    • Manage end-to-end execution of assigned programs, including planning, tracking, scheduling, and closeout activities
    • Serve as the primary customer interface, communicating program status, risks, and deliverables
    • Ensure all program requirements are compliant with contract directives, FAR/DFAR regulations, and internal policies
    • Develop program documentation, including Statements of Work (SOWs), RFP support materials, and subcontractor requirements
    • Oversee deliverable submission, ensuring quality, timeliness, and compliance
  • Operations & Team Leadership
    • Manage the day-to-day activities of program teams, ensuring alignment with priorities and deliverables
    • Delegate tasks and organize workflow to maximize team efficiency and clarity of responsibilities
    • Monitor employee productivity, providing coaching, feedback, and performance management
    • Conduct quarterly performance reviews and support employee development
    • Lead onboarding and oversight of subcontractors and distributed team members
  • Financial & Resource Management
    • Manage program funding, budgets, cost control, and financial reporting
    • Oversee resource allocation, staffing alignment, and subcontractor utilization
    • Track and manage procurement activities and ensure compliance with acquisition requirements
  • Compliance, Governance & Reporting
    • Ensure adherence to contractual requirements, audit readiness, and compliance frameworks
    • Gather and analyze program data, maintaining databases and tracking tools to monitor performance
    • Develop dashboards, reports, and presentations to support decision-making and executive briefings
    • Maintain detailed program documentation and records

Work Environment:

  • Location: Hybrid
  • Travel Requirements: ~10%
  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project/program management, preferably in a government or defense environment
  • Ability to Obtain a DoD Secret clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce professional documentation and briefings
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cost, schedule, and performance
  • Experience managing program execution from initiation through completion
  • Strong understanding of federal contracting environments and compliance requirements (FAR/DFAR)
  • Ability to gather and analyze program data, develop strategies, and maintain tracking systems
  • Experience working with distributed teams and multiple stakeholders
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors, procurements, and customer deliverables

Desired:

  • Experience supporting DoD, aerospace, or government service contracts
  • Background in compliance, audit support, or operational governance (e.g., MMAS, property management)
  • Experience developing executive dashboards and performance metrics
  • Master’s degree in a related field
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
