PRIMARY PURPOSE
The Cybersecurity Clinic Program Manager within Information Technology reports directly to Ann Harris. This role is primarily responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing systems that support meaningful student engagement with community clients across multiple institutional programs, including partnership development, student cohort support, and assessment of learning outcomes and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, experience building collaborative partnerships, and a demonstrated commitment to student development and community engagement. To be successful in this position, the individual must excel at coordinating across diverse stakeholders, creating clear processes and communication pathways, supporting student leadership and professionalism, and implementing effective assessment practices that strengthen both student learning and client relationships.
This is a six-year, grant-funded position. Reappointment and continued employment throughout this period are subject to ongoing availability of funding and the successful renewal of the grant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Community Partnership Development and Client Engagement
Develop and sustain partnerships with community clients through the Small Business
Legal Clinic, Community Counseling Center, Teacher Education Program, and the Bates Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership
Identify, assess, and onboard new client opportunities that align with student learning goals and program capacity
Coordinate communication and expectations between community clients and institutional programs
Serve as L&C representative and contribute to The Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics organization
Maintain clear documentation of client relationships, project scope, and engagement timelines using shared project tracking tools
Student Engagement and Cohort Leader Support
Guide student cohort leaders in building skills in communication, professionalism, and adaptability when working with clients
Coordinate student participation in community-based projects across programs and academic terms
Provide structure, resources, and coaching that support student readiness for client engagement
Monitor student participation and address challenges to ensure a positive and professional client experience
Project and Program Management
Design and implement systems that organize student-client engagement across multiple departments and timelines
Facilitate regular check-ins with program partners to align expectations, timelines, and outcomes
Track project milestones, deliverables, and responsibilities using project management software and shared planning tools
Create repeatable processes that support scalability and consistency of the program
Assessment, Evaluation, and Continuous Improvement
Develop assessment tools to measure student learning outcomes and satisfaction
Collect and analyze client feedback to evaluate program effectiveness
Use data to recommend improvements to processes, partnerships, and student preparation
Prepare summary reports that demonstrate program impact for internal and grant reporting purposes
Cross-Departmental Collaboration and Communication
Collaborate with faculty, staff, and program leaders across the Law School, Graduate School, and Bates Center
Communicate program updates, expectations, and outcomes to stakeholders through meetings, reports, and shared documentation
Support alignment between academic programs and community engagement initiatives
Contribute to a culture of inclusion, professionalism, and shared responsibility across participating programs

Proficient in project management principles, including planning timelines, coordinating stakeholders, and tracking deliverables using tools such as Asana, Trello, or Microsoft Planner
Excellent communication across varied audiences, including students, faculty, staff, and community partners, with clarity, professionalism, and consistency
Superior organization and documentation practices using shared platforms such as Google Workspace, Confluence, or similar tools.
Extremely strong relationship-building that fosters trust, accountability, and collaboration with internal and external partners
Proficient interpretation and use of assessment data to evaluate program effectiveness and inform continuous improvement
Excellent facilitation of group discussions, coaching conversations, and collaborative meetings in both in-person and virtual environments using virtual meeting and chat platforms.
Superior adaptability when navigating changing timelines, priorities, and stakeholder needs
Extremely thoughtful support of student growth in professionalism, communication, and client engagement readiness
Proficient creation of clear processes and repeatable systems that support consistency across programs

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in education, public administration, nonprofit management, business, information technology, cybersecurity, instructional design, or a related field
Three years of experience in information technology, cybersecurity, project management, program coordination, or partnership development
Experience coordinating work across multiple stakeholders with competing timelines and priorities
Experience supporting learning, training, or skill development for students or emerging professionals
Experience building and maintaining external partnerships or community relationships
PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree in education, public administration, nonprofit management, business, or a related field
Five years of experience in project management, program leadership, community partnership programs, information technology, or cybersecurity.
Experience designing assessment methods and evaluating program outcomes
Experience supporting student engagement initiatives, cohort-based learning, or experiential learning programs
Experience in cybersecurity methodology or concepts, specifically risk assessment, penetration testing and use of related tools
Experience working in higher education settings
Preferred Tech: Workday, Google Workspace, SharePoint, Excel, Asana or similar project tracking platforms
WORK SCHEDULE
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Travel: Occasional local travel to community partner sites and training, and promotional events
Hybrid/Remote: This position is in person with limited hybrid flexibility based on departmental needs and institutional policy
PAY RATE
FLSA Status: Exempt
Starting at $60,000 per year, with consideration for experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
General office environment with regular movement between campus offices and occasional visits to community partner locations
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Communicate effectively via phone, email, online meetings, and in person
Move materials such as files, binders, or program supplies weighing up to 15 pounds occasionally
