Role Overview
As a Scrum Master within the Enterprise IT Legal, Compliance & Security Value Team, you will support the Compliance Product Line, delivering technology solutions for the Ethics & Compliance Office (ECO). You will initially focus on the Restricted Party Screening (RPS) program, serving as the Agile process champion for the delivery team. Your primary responsibility is to ensure Scrum events happen effectively, remove impediments that slow the team down, protect the team from distractions, and promote a culture of continuous improvement. You are accountable for creating the conditions in which the delivery team can perform at its best — fostering collaboration, transparency, and predictable delivery cadence. Over time, this role may expand to support additional programs and products across the broader Compliance Product Line. You should be ready to serve the team with a facilitative leadership style, take direction from senior delivery leadership, and progressively build your domain expertise and Agile coaching capabilities.
What will you do in this role
· Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives — ensuring they are productive, time-boxed, and focused on delivering value for the RPS program.
· Remove impediments and blockers that hinder the delivery team's progress, escalating to the Delivery Manager, Product Manager, or other senior leaders when issues require broader organizational intervention.
· Protect the team from external distractions and scope disruptions, working with the Delivery Manager and Product Manager to manage incoming requests and maintain sprint focus.
· Track and communicate sprint progress using Agile metrics (e.g., velocity, burndown/burnup charts, cycle time), providing visibility to the delivery team and senior leadership on delivery health.
· Maintain and groom the team backlog in collaboration with the Business Analysts, Delivery Manager, and Product Manager, ensuring user stories are well-defined, properly prioritized, and ready for sprint planning.
· Promote continuous improvement by facilitating meaningful retrospectives, tracking action items to completion, and coaching the team on Agile best practices and Scrum principles.
· Manage team coordination artifacts, including sprint boards, team calendars, capacity planning, and vacation tracking to support predictable delivery cadence.
· Support the delivery team's collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders, including Solution Architects, Business Analysts, Delivery Managers, Product Managers, and application integration teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
· Assist with program-level reporting by contributing sprint-level status updates, risks, and dependencies to the broader program artifacts maintained by Delivery Manager.
· Help align team members into the Scrum process, ensuring they understand team norms, ceremonies, and ways of working.
· Support testing and release coordination by helping the team organize sprint deliverables, coordinate with QA activities, and ensure Definition of Done is consistently met.
· Contribute to broader Compliance Product Line initiatives as the portfolio evolves, applying Agile facilitation and process expertise to additional compliance programs and technology solutions in partnership with the Ethics & Compliance Office.
· Work within a matrix organizational structure, reporting to both the functional manager and collaborating with the Product Manager. Participate in product planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with both functional and product goals.

· Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum frameworks, principles, and practices, with the ability to coach team members and foster Agile maturity within the team.
· Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and using Agile metrics to drive transparency and continuous improvement.
· Familiarity with Agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) for backlog management, sprint tracking, and reporting.
· Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust, mediate conflicts, and create a collaborative team environment.
