Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Principal Project Management – Level 3 to join our team in Redondo Beach, CA. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

   

This role is distinguished from a standard project management position as it includes greater ownership of comprehensive project performance, deliverable metrics, historical analysis, estimated financial milestones, and other data sources to manage budget and provide for proper financial administration.
 

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

In this job, you will:

  • Provide administrative support and analysis to meet project requirements and deliver a monthly summary describing overall project health
  • Track the execution of construction projects relative to their baseline budget and schedule
  • Support internal and external reporting and planning requirements, including financial and cost forecasting
  • Support the development of consolidated Long Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) and Annual Operating Plans (AOP)
  • Work cross-functionally to develop strategies to improve project performance based on metrics and support the management and reporting requirements for projects
  • Conduct budget baseline, funding analysis, cost risk analysis/assessment, and visibility reports
  • Support the review, analysis, and management of capital project invoicing

  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 3 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 1 year of professional experience.   
  • No clearance required to start
  •  5 years of experience in business administration, finance, accounting, or financial analysis
  • Data and/or financial analysis experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint)

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Prior experience with Northrop Grumman financial planning, reporting, and analysis
  • Understanding of U.S. government cost accounting standards

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
